Marianne's fringe in Normal People is the real star of the show!

The 12-part series is an adaptation of Sally Rooney's bestselling novel of the same name, and has received critical acclaim for being one of small-screen's most triumphant romances yet.

From Connell's mother Lorraine to Marianne's friend Joanna, the series boasts great characters, each of whom are intricately written and impossible not to like. Marianne and Connell's romance leads the series, but the heroine has received some well-deserved attention, thanks to her impeccable performance...and of course, her iconic hairstyle.

Throughout Normal People, British actor Daisy Edgar-Jones (Marianne Sheridan) wears her hair differently, with each fringe representing a certain phase in her life. The awkward schoolgirl's choppy haircut slowly transitions into a heavier, longer one, but all of them have an identity of their own.
