Allison Janney is certainly a name that you've heard of before! The actress has been crushing the game since her debut back in 1991 and has since appeared in classic films and TV shows such as The Help, Hairspray, and of course, Mom.
Janney appeared alongside Anna Faris on the hit show, that is until Faris' departure after season 7. Well, after a whopping 8-year run, Mom is officially coming to an end, and fans are just as heartbroken as Allison and fellow co-star, Jaime Pressly.
Considering the show was one of the best family sitcoms of all times, it goes without saying that Allison wanted something to remember it by. So, the actress took a few items on her final day of shooting, and fans are dying to know what exactly Allison Janney walked away with.
Alison Janney Says Goodbye To 'Mom'
Allison Janney has been an integral cast member of the hit show, Mom since its start back in 2013. While the show took a hit following Anna Faris' departure following season 7, fans were met with even more bad news when the network announced that season 8 would be the last one.
Well, on the final day of shooting, Janney made it clear that she would not be walking away empty-handed! After playing the role of Bonnie for nearly a decade, it is only fitting for Allison to grab a few set pieces for the memories.
During her interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 61-year-old revealed that she did, in fact, take a few things before the series wrapped, and one of 'em even came as a shock to the Mom producers.
The very first item Allison took home with her was not only important to the actress herself but to her character, as Bonnie sported one from the very beginning, despite no one realizing it.
"No one knew I was wearing a wig. And I come in for this season of Mom and the producers see me like this [with grey hair], and they're like, 'What have you done? You should've asked us before you did this to your hair!" Janney said.
While the producers had a brief panic attack thinking Allison had dyed and cut her hair, the actress made it clear she's been sporting a wig the whole time, and you bet that she took it home with her.
The wig isn't where Allison drew the line! The actress also took home a few pairs of sweatpants, claiming that "my character Bonnie loved to be comfortable, as does Allison Janney, so I took a lot of sweatpants and made off with them," as she should!
While most of her take-home picks were from the wardrobe, Allison didn't want to steal anything from the actual set, considering it is Bonnie's home after all.
When asked about the end of the show, Janney said that the conclusion is "incredibly bittersweet." Additionally, the star found it difficult to get through each scene without bursting into tears!
"It was the biggest emotional rollercoaster ride," she said. "Literally everyone was all over the place. It was really sad. It was such a family we had here," Allison said. While the final episode will be a tough pill to swallow, Mom fans couldn't be happier with how great a sitcom it truly was.
