The Munsters is a TV show that depicted the lives of benign monsters. It ran for two seasons and was turned into comics and movies. The Munsters have been a Halloween staple. With the holiday shortly approaching, the Munsters are getting yet another spin-off.

The sitcom originated in the 1960s and starred Fred Gwynne, Yvonne De Carlo, Al Lewis, Beverly Owen and Butch Patrick, along with many guest stars. Produced by the creators of Leave It To Beaver, The Munsters received higher ratings than The Addams Family, which aired concurrently.

Now, it is being rebooted by director Rob Zombie. The upcoming movie does not have a release date as of yet, but will be released simultaneously in theaters and on Peacock. The Munsters Movie is filming in Budapest, and Zombie cannot wait to take fans back to 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

The reboot is still untitled and is rumored to come out next fall. But most people are confident that Zombie will do a great job. The film is from Universal Studios via its 1440 Productions division, which means it will most likely be released on Peacock. Not much is known about the reboot yet, but we can imagine it'll be about the Transylvania family with a modern twist.

Also, it is speculation that it is coming out next fall. Nothing has been confirmed, but since it relates to Halloween and this one is approaching quickly, we can assume it'll be out then. Once the movie was announced, many fans took to social media to express their excitement over the film.

7 Rob Zombie Loves The Series

"Spending my afternoon at work watching through The Munsters and I am just so excited to see what @RobZombie does. With his love for the series and seeing our first look at the characters, I really think it is going to be great," tweeted @trhoades93. On the other side of things, some fans are going back and watching his old movies, just because fans now are mad that he's re-making The Munsters. "I may have to rewatch Rob Zombie's Halloween movies just because people are so ridiculously pissed that he's doing THE MUNSTERS movie reboot," tweeted @ViewsParallax. Zombie's remakes of Halloween were not as popular as the original. receiving a 28% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.1 out of 10 rating overall, on IMDb.

They think the films would be better it he got a different female in the role. When all else fails, fans cling to one thing that will bring them hope for an upcoming reboot. "If nothing else, the house in The Munsters reboot looks perfect," tweeted @GaryDaBaum. Zombie posted the picture of the main three characters sitting in front of The Munsters house, which looks almost exactly like the original. Talk about nostalgia! The house will bring the original fans back to that time and bring a smile to their faces.
