Back when it made its debut on the small screen, Smallville was a show that DC was using to put a fresh take on Superman’s story. People were familiar with the overall story, sure, but Smallville sought to give the heroe’s background a level of depth that had never been there before. Turns out, fans were waiting for a show like this, and it became a huge hit in its prime.

Michael Rosenbaum was the man tasked with playing Lex Luthor, and he was sensational in the role. Since the show came to an end, the actor has remained busy and has even done plenty more work for DC.

There are many different areas of entertainment that an actor can tap into for success, with voice acting being one of the most interesting options. While not everyone is cut out for it, voice acting can be a great way to perform in quality projects. This is one of the many areas that Michael Rosenbaum has excelled in through the years.

Coincidently, his voice acting work started all the way back in 1999 before he even landed the role of Lex Luthor in Smallville. During that time, the performer was able to land a voice role in Rocket Power before heading over to DC and doing voice work in Batman Beyond as Trapper and the Flash. The following year, he voiced Ghoul in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

During his time on Smallville, Rosenbaum voiced Wally West and characters like Deadshot and Ghoul in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. In the years following Smallville, the actor has done work with DC in projects like Justice League: Doom, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, and DC Showcase: The Phantom Stranger.

Clearly, the comic book giant loves working with Rosenbaum, as he has voiced heroes, villains, and everything in between. Some of his other impressive voice acting credits include projects like The Wild Thornberrys, Static Shock, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Teen Titans.

Voice acting has been great for Rosenbaum, but his work in front of the camera is as good as it ever was. This is precisely why he scored the lead role on an TV Land series back in 2015.

The series lasted for two seasons on TV Land before being canceled, but people enjoyed what the show brought to the table. Critics weren’t as kind, as the show has a 33% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the fans have it at an 87%, which clearly shows that there was something truly great about the series.

Elsewhere on the small screen, Rosenbaum has appeared in projects like Breaking In, Hunted, Typical Rick, and Robot Chicken. He has also been active in film, appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, and other projects since Smallville came to an end.

Rosenbaum has shown the ability to thrive in film and television, but in recent years, he has added another successful dimension to his overall game.
