Ever since he launched his podcast in 2009, Joe Rogan has cemented his reputation as a household name and amassed a vast fortune.

The former Fear Factor presenter and martial artist is synonymous with hosting a diverse array of guests on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Having allowed many controversial individuals onto his show, such as conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Rogan remains a divisive figure. Subsequently, he has garnered both high praise and intense criticism from other celebrities, with some commending his ability to interact with those he may not agree with, and others denouncing him for giving a platform to less than pleasant characters.

Here's what celebs have said about Rogan, including the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.

10 Arnold Schwarzenegger

When avowed carnivore Joe Rogan hosted a debate between the producer behind pro-veganism documentary The Game Changers and a vegan-sceptic, he drew praise from plant-based advocate Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Rogan promoted the episode on Instagram, prompting the action star to comment, 'Joe, I just want you to know I'm proud of you for always having an open mind and being willing to listen and change your mind about some things.'

9 Miley Cyrus

At times, Joe Rogan has been known to come across as somewhat of an alpha male, which led Miley Cyrus to call him out during her appearance on his podcast. When discussing Cyrus's love of RuPaul's Drag Race, Rogan claimed that drag queens lack originality, to which Cyrus retorted, 'that's what I think when I'm watching your shows, too, you know? All the same stuff.' Visibly dazed, Rogan didn't have much of a comeback to Cyrus's wry gibe.

8 Caitlyn Jenner

While Rogan has expressed his support for the transgender community, he has also been guilty of resorting to gender stereotypes, causing Caitlyn Jenner to publicly condemn him. The Olympic athlete and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star called out Rogan's transphobia after he made some rather crude and tasteless remarks and also referred to Jenner by her deadname. 'It's not a joke... Joe Rogan has a lot to learn', she told TMZ.

7 Carlos Mencia

Perhaps Rogan's most notable foe in the comedy world, comedian Carlos Mencia accused Rogan of effectively ending his prospects of ever working as a comedian again: 'he's the one who's tried to ruin my career', he told LATV Network. The two fell out after Rogan made allegations that Mencia had stolen jokes, branding him 'a weak minded joke thief'. Mencia staunchly denies the allegations.

6 Conor McGregor

Responding to fans' questions at a launch for his whisky brand Proper 12, the MMA star had plenty of praise for The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

However, McGregor leveled criticism at Rogan's commentary delivery for UFC bouts, stating 'I'd like him to call a fight how he sees it correctly and not be reading off a script.' Considering Rogan's passion for UFC, this one's got to hurt.

5 Ricky Gervais

Gervais is well known for his outspoken condemnation of animal cruelty, so when he appeared on Rogan's podcast he couldn't quite contain his disgust at the host's defense of trophy hunting. 'It's disgusting... it's not clever. Of course you're going to win, you've got a ****ing gun', the comedian proclaimed before questioning what turned people on about killing animals 'for the sake of it'. Rogan, however, has been unrelenting in his pro-hunting stance, so it seems unlikely that Gervais will sway him any time soon.

4 Chelsea Peretti

In a series of expletive-ridden Tweets, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star denounced Rogan for not confronting controversial guest Joey Diaz after the latter made remarks that were deemed sexist. Accusing Rogan of being complicit in sexism, Peretti Tweeted, 'If you're a male comedian one thing you can do is tell men to shut the **** up when they are saying hateful **** about women. & not go on podcasts that are racist & sexist'.

3 Bill Burr

Discussing whether face coverings should be mandatory, Burr took aim at Rogan's dismissive attitude and attacked his lack of scientific expertise. The brash, outspoken comedian said, 'I'm not going to sit here with no medical degree, listening to you with no medical degree... acting like we know what's up better than the CDC.' A chuckling Rogan didn't seem to take Burr's warning seriously, to which the latter sarcastically scoffed, 'oh god, you're so tough'.

2 Louis Theroux

The British documentary film maker, most famous for his exposés of the Westboro Baptist Church and the Church of Scientology, applauded Rogan in an interview with GQ Magazine. Noting Rogan's heterogeneous guests, Theroux proclaimed, 'he's a powerhouse. It's extraordinary what he's done.

What you see with him is the ability to stand outside conventional political alignments, and outside any sort of structure that will inhibit him from speaking to whom he wants to speak to and saying what he wants to say.'

1 Marc Maron

On his Netflix special, Maron made a number of jokes at Rogan's expense. Taking aim at Rogan's affinity for endorsing health supplements, Maron joked 'let's roll up these gel caps. Maybe Rogan'll move 'em on his podcast. I mean, I know Maron won't do it. He's more of a stamps.com, squarespace guy. But Rogan's sort of an old school supplement slinger.' Ouch.
