If you grew up with MTV in the 2000s, chances are you're familiar with Jackass, a reality show featuring nine of the best stuntmen who carry out pranks and wild acts on each other or the unsuspecting public. During it's time, Jackass was highly popular and generated several spin-offs all thanks to the endless controversies the show generated.

It's been 19 years since its first film spin-off, Jackass: The Movie, hit the theaters. And now, most of its cast members are gearing up for the upcoming Jackass 4, which will see a theatrical release in September 2021. Here's what the cast members of Jackass have been up to since the first movie.

10 Jason Acuña

You may know him as Wee Man, but Italian-born Jason Acuña has made quite a name for himself over the years. Besides starring in the Jackass franchise, the prolific skateboarder also hosts Fox Sports Net's skateboarding show 54321. He also served as an executive producer for Elf-Man, a wild 86-minute ride of direct-to-video Christmas family comedy in 2012.

9 Preston Lacy

One of the original cast members of Jackass, Preston Lacy has also ventured into other MTV reality shows. The veteran stuntman co-starred with Wee Man on an episode of MTV's Ridiculousness in 2012, where the two pulled over-the-top escapades on each other and tried to recreate the human bowling prank. He's now gearing up for the upcoming Jackass 4.

8 Ehren McGhehey

Before Jackass, Ehren McGhehey was already a professional snowboarder. That was before an incident forced him to retire earlier. Like Lacey and Wee Man, McGhehey also appeared on MTV's Ridiculousness. He further elevated his acting career to another level by trying out a police procedural drama, Grimm, in 2016. In addition to this, he also appeared in a music video for Municipal Waste, a crossover thrash band based in Virginia, in 2014.

7 Ryan Dunn

Known as a long-time friend to Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn hosted Jackass's spin-off Homewrecker and co-hosted Proving Ground with gaming journalist Jessica Chobot. Besides his bizarre stunt show appearances, Dunn also appeared in the likes of Blonde Ambition and Street Dreams. Unfortunately, on June 20, 2011, Dunn passed away after a tragic road incident alongside a production assistant from Jackass Number Two, Zachary Hartwell.

6 Dave England

Formerly a professional snowboarder, Dave England was one of the popular stars of Jackass. Besides his crazy stunts, England also co-starred Tom Green in Shred, which is a movie that chronicles a snowboarding school ran by the character England portrayed. Little did fans know, Dave England is actually a self-proclaimed vegetarian, even though he once did a stunt where he ate a number of uncooked ingredients for an omelet.

5 Chris Pontius

After departing Jackass, Chris Pontius joined Steve-O in co-hosting its spinoff, Wildboyz. The show debuted in 2003 and lasted for four seasons where the two embarked on a worldwide journey to pit themselves in insane situations for which they are never trained. Despite his long-lasting marriage with Claire Nolan ending in 2013, Pontius welcomed a new addition to his family, a son named Axe, in December 2019.

4 Stephen 'Steve-O' Glover

It's inspirational how Steve-O bounced back from the lowest point of his life. During his days with Jackass, Steve-O had been fighting his demon of psychiatric problems and substance abuse. The stuntman has gone from contemplating suicide and consuming drugs to having a stable relationship and celebrating 13 years of sobriety in March 2021. Just like most Jackass original crews, he's now gearing up for the upcoming Jackass 4.

3 Spike Jonze

Spike Jonze, the co-creator and executive producer for Jackass, is one of the most prominent filmmakers that Hollywood has ever witnessed. After gaining reputation from Jackass, Jonze, whose real name Adam Spiegel, went on to receive two Academy Award nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Song for his dystopian romance ballad, Her. His last directorial work is Beastie Boys Story, an Apple+ documentary about the rise and the fall of the hip-hop group.

For Bam Margera, performing stunts is a way of life. In fact, he even created two Jackass spin-offs, Viva La Bam and Bam's Unholy Union. His character has also been animated for the Tony Hawk skateboarding video game franchise. Speaking of his private life, Margera is a proud father of one from his relationship with his wife Nicole Boyd, whom he married in 2013. Unfortunately, he's been struggling with alcoholism for quite some time. He even asked fans to boycott Spike Jonze's upcoming Jackass 4.

The controversial actor/filmmaker has a quite impressive portfolio to his acting career, having starred in the likes of Men In Black II, The Ringer, Walking Tall, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Last month, he's just celebrated his 50th birthday while keeping himself busy with the upcoming Jackass 4.
