2021 is a year that will be extensively busy for Spider-Man actor Tom Holland. 2020 was just the cherry on top of what his career will take him to. Many news were revealed, such as becoming an iconic video game character in an upcoming film, returning as the famous Marvel superhero, and taking part in other exciting new projects.

Five years ago, Tom took the world by storm with his appearance in Captain America: Civil War, becoming a scene stealer and hyping fans for his time to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This year might just be Tom's, as he currently has four film projects set for release in 2021.

The biggest anticipation for his four upcoming movies is the untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel. It won't be until nearly Christmas for the film to have a theatrical release, if things work out from the pandemic's aftermath. The movie might just be the biggest grossing movie in 2021 considering the hype it has.

Next up, he will become Nathan Drake from the video game series Uncharted. Video game adaptations have a reputation for not being good, but with a realistic setting and charming main lead, it might be positively reviewed by both fans and critics, succeeding 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog. Along with receiving blessings from the voice actor for Nathan, Nolan North, Tom is looking to be another great portrayal of the famous video game character.

Out of the films so far, Cherry seems to be the least anticipated, but it might surprise his fans. As an Apple+ exclusive film, it will depend on the critics' response to see how well it fares. A theatrical release will occur as well, but digital streaming is the new norm. Costarring with him will be Ciara Bravo, who appeared on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush and Red Band Society.

His fourth and final movie project will be Chaos Walking. Based on the science fiction trilogy of the same name, Tom will be costarring with Star Wars' Daisy Ridley, Jonas Brothers' Nick Jonas, and Harriet's Cynthia Erivo. With a heavily star-studded cast, it will be strong eye candy for moviegoers, but as it is based on a work of literature, the screenplay and adaptation overall will have to convince critics and audiences that it will become as big as Harry Potter or The Hunger Games. With these stacked films, Tom is going to steal the hearts of many with his diverse and strong leading roles.
