Chris Hemsworth hosted an uber cool '80s themed birthday bash for his childhood friend and personal assistant Aaron Grist, in Sydney, Australia yesterday. Fans flooded the comments section while expressing their concerns for the star, failing to realize that the country is nearly free from COVID-19.

The Thor: Ragnarok actor was joined by his wife Elsa Pataky, brother Liam Hemsworth along with Matt Damon and a certain actor from the MCU, who hasn't made an appearance in the films since 2018.

Is Heimdall A Part Of Thor: Love and Thunder?

It's none other than Idris Elba! The English actor portrays Heimdall in the MCU, the all-seeing and all-knowing Asgardian warrior-god...and a good friend of Thor.

Since his death at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been wondering if the actor could reprise his role in any capacity. They think it's possible now!

The actor attended the party hosted by Hemsworth, which is making Marvel fans wonder if his MCU character, Heimdall, will be a part of Thor: Love and Thunder.

The star cast is filming in Australia right now, which led fans to speculate if Elba was there for the same reason.

"Idris Elba?? Is he back for Thor 4??" wrote @vikram_sood28.

"So, Heimdall is back?" inquired @captainpr_official.

One user added that Elba is officially in Australia to film George Miller’s film, Three Thousand Years of Longing.

Another fan suggested the possibility of Heimdall's character returning in a cameo, perhaps in a flashback sequence. Since Thor: Love and Thunder is based on comic book writer Jason Aaron's work, fans expect to see Thor lose the ability to lift Mjolnir. Jane Foster will take his place, in the role of Mighty Thor, while battling cancer as a human.

New Zealand director Taika Waititi is spearheading the project, and has also directed Thor: Ragnarok. Chris Pratt, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman will reprise their MCU roles while Matt Damon's association with the film remains a mystery.

The last time we saw Thor, he was accompanying the Guardians of the Galaxy crew on their otherworldly adventures, so it'll be interesting to see what goes on in the film!
