The entertainment industry is full of comics that have had us all laughing out loud for years and years, two of which are none other than Mo'Nique and Tyler Perry. The duo has been in the business for decades, showcasing true comedic talent through stand-up and the creation of hilarious characters, such as Madea. While both Mo'Nique and Tyler have managed to make names for themselves in Hollywood, it appears as if Mo'Nique's time in the limelight was halted back in 2010.

After appearing in the 2009 film, 'Precious', in which Mo'Nique won 'Best Supporting Actress' at the Academy Awards, the actress claims to have been blacklisted through efforts made by Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey, who were producers on the film. The comedian has made a number of claims regarding the situation, now revealing that it is time for Tyler Perry to publicly apologize. So, what exactly went down? Let's dive in!

Tyler Perry & Mo'Nique Feuding Again?

Mo'Nique has been quite a hot topic as of late, and it doesn't appear as if she is going anywhere anytime soon. The star has been regarded as one of the best female comics of our time, and rightfully so. While she is best known for her stand-up and comedy films, such as 'Almost Christmas', 'The Queen's Comedy', and 'Soul Plane', Mo'Nique has been popping up in headline after headline in an effort to finally being heard. The singer has had quite a tumultuous last few years, finding herself in a lawsuit against none other than Netflix.

After being offered $500,000 for a comedy special with no room for negotiation, Mo'Nique took the streaming platform to court under the grounds of racial discrimination and sexism, as others who have filmed Netflix specials, including Amy Schumer, made "26 times more per show than Mo'Nique". This isn't the first time Mo'Nique has been treated poorly in the industry! After her role in the 2009 film, 'Precious', Mo'Nique alleged that she was blacklisted from the industry by Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, and Lee Daniels.

Perry and Winfrey were producers of the film and reportedly tarnished her reputation after she didn't participate in the international promotion of the film. Despite taking home the Oscar for 'Best Supporting Actress' at the 2010 Oscars, Mo'Nique has yet to receive a public apology from Tyler for the way he handled things a decade ago. The actress took to her Twitter earlier this week to explain herself and why Perry needs to apologize to her publicly.

This all came about after Will Smith's apology to Janet Hubert, who played the original Aunt Viv on 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. Mo'Nique took Smith's apology to Hubert as the perfect opportunity to shed light on her situation with Tyler Perry. While Perry has yet to apologize to Mo'Nique on a public platform, the comedian revealed that he has owned up to his ways in the past, however, she is waiting for him to do it in front of us all.
