For a long time, Lisa Vanderpump was the face of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fans associated her gorgeous $12 million mansion Villa Rosa, love of pink, and adorable dog Giggy with the show. Viewers were always happy to tune into each new season to see how the fabulous reality star was doing, along with her husband Ken.

Vanderpump decided to leave the series before season 10, and she has said that she stopped watching RHOBH. The show is still very juicy but it has been sad not seeing the star on the show anymore.

People say that Lisa Vanderpump hated being on the reality show. Let's take a look.

Unhappy While Filming?

Fans look forward to season 11 of RHOBH, even though it's too bad that the fabulous Lisa Vanderpump has left the franchise.

Tom Sandoval told Us Weekly that Vanderpump wasn't happy while filming the Real Housewives.

He said, “You’ve got to understand, Lisa fricking hated filming Housewives." He continued, "I’d be having a conversation with her, and I could see in her head that she’s stressed. She’s like, ‘I have to go film Housewives after this, and it’s really making me miserable.’ … When you’re stressed out about something you can’t really care about anything. It can overtake you.”

Vanderpump explained that she had a really hard time filming her last season. She explained, "It was such a brutal season for me, and it was at a time where I was floundering. And everybody always says, 'Oh, you look like you've got your life together,'" according to Bravo TV.

She said that when she filmed her last season, it was only a few months after the death of her brother and she "wasn't in the right space." She had a conversation with Andy Cohen and he told her, "I wish I'd given you the year off."

Vanderpump continued, "I just wasn't as prepared. I found I couldn't deal with something that I could normally deal with. And so it just went on, and then it was cumulative. And in the end, I just said, 'I can't do this anymore. I just can't.'"

While Vanderpump didn't have fun shooting her final season, Denise Richards wasn't very happy on the last season, either, as Brandi Glanville told everyone that they had been romantically involved. Vanderpump said she would like to talk to Richards.

Vanderpump told Entertainment Tonight, "I hear Denise has been having a really rough time, and I always had a great connection with her -- and we have a lot in common, you know, in terms of having adopted children and a huge dog lover -- I mean, I would love to speak to her at some point. I hear that she's had a really rough time on it."

Saying Goodbye

When speaking on Andy Cohen Live, his show on SiriusXM Radio, Andy Cohen said that Lisa Vanderpump decided not to attend her final reunion shows and he hoped there could have been some "resolution."

Cohen explained "No one will ever replace her," and said, "And no one can replace her. I mean, it has been well-documented that when we were developing the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I was not totally sold on doing the show … but when I saw Lisa Vanderpump on that casting tape, man, she was the one who really sold me on doing the show.”

Fans might not have known that Cohen wasn't sure about RHOBH but he loved Lisa Vanderpump, so it's definitely bittersweet to hear him tell this story. She always had such a great presence on the show and such a fun, sparkling personality.

Refinery 29 published a timeline that explained some of the events that created the situation where LVP had to say goodbye to the reality show she had been on for so many years.

According to the publication, Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, who had been her best friend for many years, had a bad argument in the fall of 2018, and that meant that LVP no longer had this ally.

When she didn't want to be in any of the reunion episodes, she said in an interview with the Daily Mail, "The objective of the reunion is to reunite, right? And I have no inclination to reunite with the women who've been harassing me for 10 months now. Of returning to the show, she said, "I think they've made it pretty impossible for me to go back frankly. So... no."
