The Internet is teeming with hilarious memes, but only one man can successfully burn Ivanka Trump, all while honoring Meghan Markle. Yes, we mean celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The Queen of Gossip has had a busy year reporting some of our favorite entertainment news, while getting increasingly political in recent months. Some stand-out examples of his statements include video-shaming anti-maskers and cartooning the president’s tweets. So controversial!

With the United States as divided as ever, it may not be shocking to hear that fans cannot seem to agree on Hilton’s Democratic stance. While the blogger continues to get thousands of likes on his posts, he also reels in many an aggressive comment from his conservative followers. Some folks even want to see Hilton banned from social media. Let’s take a look:

From TikTok To Facebook

Perez Hilton first got into trouble for his ideas, when the video app TikTok ‘permanently’ banned him from their platform. Apparently, his reels could be construed as bullying— for example, he even released a scandalous video in which he used some choice words to talk about Ivanka Trump. Nonetheless, the blogger stood up for his First Amendment right to criticize the socialite, and the app reopened his account. The trouble wasn’t over, though.

Less than 24 hours after being reinstated on TikTok, Hilton was banned from Facebook. According to a statement by the gossip guru, he can no longer comment or share content. The reason? He published an article reporting on the recent scandal at a dirty website. Hilton reassured his fans that there was no imagery involved in the content, just a criticism of the site.

Facebook, however, didn’t seem too interested in the details. Hilton will be ‘on a break from social media.’

The Role Of One YouTuber

Anybody who is wondering how Hilton managed to get his accounts reported by so many trolls needs look no further for the answer. The blogger maintains that a YouTuber named Trisha Paytas encouraged people to go against him by stating that she was ‘glad’ about the ban.

Hilton maintains that he will no longer cover the YouTuber, so as not to give her free advertising. He has blocked her on all social media, in addition to on his cellphone. Friendship over? It seems so.
