One of the greatest personality assessments in the modern world is the Hogwarts sorting quiz introduced to the world via the Harry Potter series and the wizarding world. On the surface, the quiz sorts people through four main personality traits: a cunning nature, a flair for all things brave and dramatic, a thirst for knowledge, and the belief that loyalty is a bond that should never be broken. When delved into deeper, the houses break down even further and artfully summarize the core value system that governs each person. But some people find themselves torn between two houses. Using the MBTI system and comparing it to the core traits that define each house can help even the most confused hat-stall figure out which house they truly belong to.
10 ENTP - RAVENCLAW
Both ENTPs and Ravenclaws revel in all matters concerning the brain. ENTP's are the happiest when they are spending their time dedicated to discussing the theories and facts of the universe.
They require constant mental stimulation and prefer to take an utterly objective stance in all arguments and debates. The intellectual and reserved Ravenclaw house would be utterly delighted to welcome any and all ENTP's into their lovely and studious house.
9 ISTJ - GRYFFINDOR
Though the formal nature of the ISTJ type would make them appear to be a shoe-in for Ravenclaw, their love for tradition and upholding societal rules makes them the perfect fit for the chivalrous and moral Gryffindor house. Not all Gryffindors are brash and brave thrill seekers. Consider Percy Weasley. He exhibited his love for tradition and values by upholding the rules of his school and house with due diligence. The old-school and traditional ISTJ types would be excellent upholders of what is right and that is what Gryffindor is all about.
8 INTJ - RAVENCLAW
The INTJ types love busying themselves with the neverending task of attempting to solve the infinite mysteries of the universe and attempting to answer the unanswerable questions.
They prefer to spend their time alone, tinkering with the objects in their midst and trying to figure out exactly what makes them tick. The inventive and brilliant people who belong to the INTJ typing category would blend into the Ravenclaw house seamlessly.
7 ESTP - GRYFFINDOR
The ESTP type is a stereotypical "look before you leap" type who are motivated by the need to jump into action. Non-tangible concepts frustrate and bore the ESTP as they prefer a more hands-on approach to life. The ESTP type believes in action and doing everything that they can to fix whatever problem set before them. Though they don't concern themselves much with the consequences of their actions as they tend to be the reckless hero sort, just like our favourite Harry Potter.
6 INFP - HUFFLEPUFF
Though one may think that the daydreamy lot that makes up the INFP typing would be better suited to Ravenclaw, that is a common mistake. These types value being both good friends and good listeners.
They are some of the best people to turn to during a crisis and are always more than eager to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. They dream of a perfect world where everyone is equal and everything is fair and will do everything in their power to make that a reality. This loyal, friendly, and just bunch would be the perfect fit for Hufflepuff.
5 INFJ - RAVENCLAW
The INFJ type is one of the rarest personality types in the entire world; which is something that the originality loving Ravenclaws of the wizarding world would utterly revel in. The INFJ types love to tickle their brains and seek to engage with creative pursuits as much as possible and have an entirely unique perspective on the world. Though others may consider them the odd ones out because of it. The INFJ types seek to change the world for they simply cannot accept things the way that they are. These revolutionary and creatively driven characters would be a perfect fit for Ravenclaw.
4 ISTP - SLYTHERIN
The ISTP types are known for their mysterious and elusive nature. Their personality is comprised of several utter contradictions and this fact makes them incredibly difficult to understand, just like our beloved yet villainized Slytherin friends.
The people who fall under the ISTP umbrella are often both spontaneous and methodical in their approach to life and are often closed off from outside people for reasons that they also tend to keep private. These private and secluded individuals would find themselves a perfect match for the Slytherin house.
3 ISFJ - HUFFLEPUFF
The people belonging to the ISFJ type are natural nurturers and are defined by their warm and loving personalities. They believe that their sole duty on this Earth is to serve others and approach every situation with sensitivity, consideration, and enthusiasm. The ISFJ type are defined by their need to help others and their every action is motivated by kindness and generosity. These gentle minded and kind-hearted people are the exact sort of witches and wizards that would feel right at home in Hufflepuff.
2 ENTJ - SLYTHERIN
The ENTJ types believe in a detached way of dealing with problems and often do not allow trivial things like emotions or feelings to get in the way of the most logical course of action. The people under this type tend to be rational and ambitious as they see success as a set of steps that one needs to commit oneself to to carry out properly and do not get hung up on the more trivial aspects of life.
They are also often found in leadership positions both due to their ambition and their detached and rational way of thought. These traits all add up to the perfect candidate for the Slytherin house.
1 ENFP - RAVENCLAW
The people who fall under the ENFP type need to do things in their own way and will feel utterly suffocated if forced to act in a certain way. The idea of normalcy or leading an ordinary life sounds like a death sentence to the people of this type. The ENFP types have a need to define themselves on their own terms and create a life that is their own. Any attempt to control or guide them will fail as they are resistant to the concept of someone else's ideas being placed upon their own actions, style, and/or life's path. These "out of the box" individuals would be a perfect fit for the unique and original Ravenclaw.
