How Lacey Chabert Lost Out On A $15 Million

Lacey Chabert has been in the acting game since the early 90s, however, it wasn't until a decade later that she became a recognized name in Hollywood.

In 2004, Chabert landed the role of Gretchen Weiners, a name so iconic that just about anyone and everyone will tell you they know it from the classic film, Mean Girls. Lacey appeared in the movie alongside Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfriend, and none other than Lindsay Lohan.

The star became notorious for her lines such as "fetch", "we should totally just stab Caesar!", and "my father, the inventor of the toaster strudel" all of which are quoted to this very day!

Luckily for Lacey, her role in the hit film allowed her to become a hit in the industry, landing roles in Dirty Deeds, Bratz, and Baby Daddy, to name a few.

While Lacey has gone on to do quite well for herself in Hollywood, she could have been much richer, and we mean richer, like $15 million richer!

Lacey had originally landed the role of Meg Griffin on Family Guy in its very first season. The actress voiced Meg for 14 episodes before deciding to leave the show. While many speculated that Lacey was fired, the actress made it clear she had left on her "own accord."

The star revealed that she decided to step down from the role due to her school and Party Of Five schedule.

"I actually left the show of my own accord. And only because I was in school and doing Party of Five at the time," she told GameSpy.

The role would later go on to land in the hands of Mila Kunis, with whom fans have since fallen in love. Mila collects a whopping $175,000 to $200,000 per episode, which over the course of her time on the show, amounts to $15 million in earnings, a whopping figure that Lacey may have easily gone on to earn!

How Much Is Lacey Chabert Worth?

Today, Lacey Chabert is worth $4 million, which is still an impressive amount. When compared to her Mean Girls co-stars, had the actress continued on Family Guy, she could have easily been amongst the richest.

Rachel McAdams comes in at the top with a net worth of $25 million, while Amanda Seyfriend has amassed a net worth of $12 million. Lindsay Lohan during her peak was making on average $9 million per year!

Luckily for Chabert, she doesn't care too much about what her decision cost, nor does she hold any resentment towards Mila Kunis. "I think the show is hilarious, and don’t have a grudge against her at all. I think she’s a great actress," Chabert told GameSpy.

Luckily for Lacey, she has continued her acting and has made way over to Hallmark, where she currently dominated the network when it comes to Christmas film and music appearances.
