Most, anticipated Heard to lie low and allow the dust to settle, at least for a bit. However, this was not part of her plan, as she already sat down for an interview alongside Savannah Guthrie of NBC News. When asked about the jury's decision, Heard revealed that she understood why they sided as they did.

“How could they make a judgment, how could they not come to that conclusion?” she stated. “They had sat in those seats and heard over three weeks nonstop, relentless testimony from paid employees and towards the end of the trial, ‘randos,’ as I say. I don’t blame [the jury], I actually understand. He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor.”

Amber would continue to voice her disapproval and in addition, she finally discussed all the love fans have for Johnny and the hate thrown her way.

Amber Heard Didn't Care For The Public Hate

In terms of popularity during the court case, it was obvious Johnny Depp had the people by his side. Heard was very much aware of this, even restricting comments via platforms like Instagram.

Throughout the trial, she did not speak about the fans and their thoughts, that is until now. Heard stated that she doesn't take the hate personally, mainly for the fact that fans weren't present for their turbulent relationship - especially during moments behind the scenes.

“I don’t care what one thinks about me or what judgments you want to make about what happened in the privacy of my own home, in my marriage, behind closed doors. I don’t presume the average person should know those things. And so I don’t take it personally,” she says.

“But even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation. You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair.”

During the interview, Heard did take some accountability for her actions, showing regret for the way certain aspects played out.

Amber Heard Did Admit To Regretting Her Ways And Language With Johnny Depp

Fans for the most part, have not been pleased with Heard's lack of accountability throughout the court case and over the last couple of years following her divorce from Johnny Depp.

Well, it seems as though she finally had a change of heart, realizing that she wasn't her best self during the relationship. She revealed, "I did do and say horrible, regrettable things throughout my relationship. I behaved in horrible, almost unrecognizable to myself ways."

"I freely and openly and voluntarily talked about what I did. I talked about the horrible language. I talked about being pushed to the extent where I didn't even know the difference between right and wrong."

"I will always continue to feel like I was a part of this, like I was the other half of this relationship because I was. And it was ugly, and could be very beautiful. It was very, very toxic," Heard said. "We were awful to each other."

It seems like Amber Heard has wasted no time whatsoever in an effort to repair her image.
