Emma Roberts just gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Rhodes, according to People. She was sharing stylish photos of her pregnant self on Instagram and fans loved all of the pretty dresses that she wore during the time that she was expecting her baby.
How did Emma Roberts start dating Garret Hedlund? The actors were pals before they made their relationship something more. According to E Online, they were definitely together in 2019.
Insider.com thinks that the start of the romance was in March 2019, as Roberts and Evan Peters had gone their separate ways by then.
According to Insider, Roberts was interviewed by Cosmopolitan in May 2019 and shared that it can be tricky to be famous and dating. She said, "Because of Twitter and Instagram, there's a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you're doing and no one knows the real story. That's hard."
Bustle noted that while it's clear that Roberts and Hedlund got serious fast, they didn't confirm that they were expecting a baby when people started talking about it in June 2020. In August 2020, Roberts posted a photo on her Instagram account and people knew it was true since she had a baby bump.
The Pregnancy
Emma Roberts was the first celebrity expecting a baby to be on the cover of Cosmopolitan. According to Us Weekly, the actress talked about slowing down and resting during her pregnancy. Roberts said, “I’ve really gotten to take care of myself for me, instead of for a movie or for a show or for an event. This year has been a struggle, for everybody, in different ways, and at different levels, but I’ve gotten to really reassess what self-care means to me.”
Roberts said she expected to have started her family by the age of 24. According to People, she figured that she would have settled down by that age. As she actually did turn 24 years old, she asked herself, "Remember when I said I would be married with kids by now?"
The actress shared that letting go of expectations was what worked in terms of staring her family: "It sounds cheesy, but the moment that I stopped thinking about it, we got pregnant," according to People.
Roberts went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and said that she ended up blocking her mom on Instagram because her mom publicly shared the baby news before Roberts was ready to do so. The actress said, "When I said to her, 'Mom, you revealed my pregnancy,' she goes, 'Emma, you announced it.' I said, 'No, I didn't. That was a tabloid.' She's like, 'Oh, that wasn't clear.'" She said that blocking her mother on social media is "A good story to tell the baby."
Baby Makes Three
Now Garret Hedlund and Emma Roberts have welcomed baby Rhodes.
A source told E Online, "Emma is at home and doing really well. She's very happy, calm and a natural at being a mom."
It's definitely emotional for fans of Emma Roberts' to see the star as a mom since she had started acting so young and now she's all grown up.
Roberts had some health struggles before getting pregnant. Self reported that when Roberts was interviewed by Cosmopolitan, she said that she has endometriosis and that she had that condition from the time she was a teenager, but no one diagnosed her. She mentioned having really horrible periods and not being able to go to meetings or classes when that happened.
While it's clear that Hedlund and Roberts have found a wonderful match in one another, it's definitely true that they have been pretty private. There aren't a ton of details out there about their relationship, and that's okay, since it's very difficult to date in the public eye.
It seems like because Roberts had a very public relationship with Evan Peters, she would rather not have everyone know everything about her time with Hedlund, and it's great that they value their private life.
