Looking back at her past interview with Glamour, Heard revealed that a big part of agreeing to work the film had to do with the creative freedoms involved with her character.

"I wanted to get involved because there is a freedom to this movie that I appreciated and the filmmakers didn't have the normal respect for following rules that you see - for some reason it's rare in this industry to meet people that don't seem bound by those rules or expectations."

Heard would further state that she got a lot of that flexibility for her own character, "I was given a great amount of freedom with my character, they basically handed it to me and said 'we're not girls can you just make this real' so my lines, all of my character choices are mine."

It seemed like quite the atmosphere behind the scenes, however, while taking on interviews, Amber Heard seemed to side step a certain Johnny Depp question.

Amber Heard Completely Avoided A Question About How Johnny Depp Felt Of Her Casting In Magic Mike XXL

During Amber Heard's interview alongside E News, the celeb was asked about how Johnny Depp felt about the role and if he had any idea as to what was coming.

Interestingly enough, Heard seemed to completely side step the response, giving a very diplomatic answer.

She said, "One of the things I liked about this movie was the gender reversal," she stated after taking a moment. "I was proud to be a part of a movie where I wasn't the typical romantic lead, I wasn't justifying my place in this script by trying to fulfill some romantic goal."

Although the description of the interview asks if Johnny Depp saw the film, there was no such conversation about the actor. It seems clear, Amber Heard was not interested in answering a question related to her then-partner.

At the time of Heard's work in the film, Depp was working a campaign for Dior - Depp alleged that he got verbally abused by Heard for stating that such high profile companies had interest in him for campaigns...

Quite the saga and one that doesn't appear to be over just yet.

Amber Heard Stands By Every Word From Her Testimony

The trial is over, but the entire ordeal is far from done... It is said that a film is in the works and in addition, Heard caused more controversy during her interview after the trial, stating that she still standby by every word from the highly watched testimony.

"To my dying day, I will stand by every word of my testimony."

"I did do and say horrible, regrettable things throughout my relationship. I behaved in horrible, almost unrecognizable to myself ways," she said. "I freely and openly and voluntarily talked about what I did. I talked about the horrible language. I talked about being pushed to the extent where I didn't even know the difference between right and wrong."

Heard would further reveal that the recordings released in court came at a troubling time in her life, "As I testified to, I was talking in those recordings as a person in an extreme amount of psychological, emotional and physical distress."

Clearly, the two will forever be linked to one another.
