There's more to the story and it's really charming: Conrad wrote on her website that she and Tell actually had known each other since they were teenagers.

Engagement And Wedding
Conrad shared the good news of her engagement in October of 2013, according to E Online. Our wedding was a dream, and William and I were over the moon with happiness to be celebrating with our closest friends and family. We took off on our honeymoon pretty shortly after the big day, and it all felt so exciting and surreal."
