Michael Cera's life has been shrouded in secrecy since Superbad, after he decided to live a more private life after the release of the film. The actor's decision to keep a low profile means that fans no longer know what the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World actor is up to these days — but one thing fans do know is that Cera got married in 2018 to Nadine — who is also shrouded in secrecy. No one knows who Michael's wife is - the public doesn't even know her last name.

What Happened To Michael Cera?

From around 2007 to 2013, Cera's career was soaring. Both Superbad and Juno came out in 2007 and three years later saw the release of the cult classic Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Michael has always been known for quirky and humorous movies, and being in This Is The End alongside James Franco, Jonah Hill, and Seth Rogan in 2013 fit his brand perfectly.

Michael Cera is still acting, opting for indie movies and voice-overs, but since the days of Superbad, Michael has been careful to lead a quiet life and leave a very small digital footprint, wanting to figure himself out and what he was gravitating towards. The actor doesn't even have Twitter and has spoken previously about how social media and publicity make him feel.

"The compulsion of Twitter is so odd; I don't see the appeal," Michael Cera said in response to why he didn't have Twitter. "I just don't like spending my time that way. It's just laziness."

Despite being a successful actor, Michael seems to have achieved the impossible, in an age of everyone knowing everything thanks to social media giving us direct access to our favorite people any time we like, and has managed to stay off the radar. None of his relationships have been public knowledge and Cera has managed to keep even the most serious of them under wraps.

Michael has always felt like his personal life being public knowledge means a lack of control and he has done incredibly well to control the narrative on his life. He has previously spoken about how he doesn't enjoy "all the weird stuff" that comes with acting: "I guess I didn't feel so in control; that's the only way I can put it. I was not comfortable about the way things were constructed about me."

It's suspected that the couple has at least been together since 2014. Michael, who is also a musician, wrote a song called "Oh Nadine (You Were In My Dream)."

What's Michael Cera Doing Now?

When the news slipped out about the couple's baby, Michael told Entertainment Tonight: "He's just a little six-month-old baby." Of course, that is all that's known about Cera's son, but one can hope that something else slips out about his family life in the future. It makes fans of his work so happy to see that the actor has found happiness in life off-screen.

Even though Michael has chosen to keep his life under wraps, it's still good to see small pieces of his private life and to know that he is happy and that he has a family of his own.

As for his acting career, Michael's recent role is Life and Beth, which has been described as "awkwardly direct and honest." According to IMDb, Life and Beth "follows Beth, who after an unexpected incident starts having flashbacks to her teen self and learns how she became who she is and who she wants to become."

It sounds like an incredibly deep, heartfelt, and honest show, and both Schumer and Cera make a dream team. Episodes of the show can be found on Hulu.
