What Janice Dickinson Feels About Being Mistaken For Caitlyn Jenner

After sharing a photo from her younger years as a supermodel, fans were quick to express their confusion about Dickinson's identity. "Honestly thought you were Caitlyn Jenner!" one wrote, with another saying, "I thought this was Caitlyn." Shortly after, the former America's Next Top Model judge posted a video titled, "Now listen here kidlets." There, she said, "For f*** sake, I am NOT Caitlyn Jenner!" before her assistant laughed.

The comparisons started back in 2015 when Jenner had just announced his transition. "Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, actually looking like a modern Janice Dickinson. #iconic," one tweeted at that time. "Is it me or does Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner look a lot like Janice Dickinson in the latest Vanity Fair cover?" one said of Jenner's transition cover. Some even added that the two could also pass as the canceled singer, Lana Del Rey.

"Lana? Caitlyn Jenner? or Janice Dickinson? WHO am i looking at here?" one said of a photo with an unidentified subject. Another one tweeted: "is it just me or does Caitlyn Jenner look a cross between Lana del Ray and Janice Dickinson?" Even Jessica Lange was dragged into the spiral of comparisons. "Caitlyn Jenner looks like if Jessica Lange, Lana del Rey, and Janice Dickinson had a fierce love child #coolwithit," one claimed.

Did Janice Dickinson Get Surgery?

According to celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr. Anthony Youn, Dickinson had "every plastic surgery there is." He also noted that "Janice has made no bones about how much plastic surgery she’s had. The self-proclaimed world's first supermodel has even undergone some procedures on reality TV. You name it, she appears to have had it."

He jokingly added: "I believe she's undergone pretty much every facial plastic surgery there is, including a facelift, eyelid lift, lip injections, Botox, fat injections, and a brow lift. She's probably single-handedly paid for her plastic surgeon's house!"

Despite going under the knife numerous times, Youn said that "While Janice doesn't look a whole lot like her previous self, she's holding up pretty well … With quite a bit of help." In 2014, a bankrupt Dickinson told InTouch Magazine, "I live for plastic surgery" and that the only work she wouldn't consider is "butt implants."

She also admitted that when she was 32 or "in the Jurassic era," she had her first and only boob job. "I had a tummy tuck and face-lift and currently do Botox and Restylne," she revealed, denying any work on her face. "I don't get anything in my cheeks. I have perfect bone structure. My lips are mine!"

Janice Dickinson Was The 'Most Challenging Case' On 'Botched'

In 2014, Dickinson appeared on an episode of Botched. There, Dr. Terry Dubrow said that the self-proclaimed "world's first supermodel" was the toughest case he'd ever handled. "My most challenging case overall was Janice Dickinson for sure," he said. "It was a wild ride. It was like a ride at Disneyland that you know that was worth waiting in line for, you wanted to get on."

He noted that the model's personality made her "enormously challenging" to deal with.

Dickinson came onto the program to replace her breast implants. During the episode, she was seen swearing, walking around naked, and asking for drugs after her implants were replaced. "I've never had a patient do this before!" Dubrow said during the episode. "Are you trying to have a disaster on me?"

Later, the doctor said that it was actually a tamed version of the real Dickinson. "She is lucky the editors and the producers were very nice to her," he recounted. "If this was the Real Housewives they would have been a lot more brutal but they were kind because what you see is bad, what really happened was significantly worse. She was extremely challenging the most difficult patient I have ever had – and I survived."
