Following his divorce from Mariah Carey in 2016, Nick Cannon kept his love life pretty much out of the limelight for a few years — presumably after all the media attention that came with being in a relationship with a woman who’s 11 years older than him.
The TV mogul began dating a string of women, including a rumored fling with Amber Rose, before appearing to have settled for former Miss Arizona USA Brittany Bell, who Cannon later announced he was expecting a baby with. In February 2017, the doting duo welcomed a healthy baby boy named Golden, as shared in a loving Instagram post by the pair.
The pair appeared so in love with one another that after three years, another announcement was made: Cannon and Bell were expecting yet another baby. In December 2020, Cannon welcomed a healthy baby girl named Powerful Queen Cannon before reports claimed the former America’s Got Talent host was expecting TWINS with another woman named Abby De La Rosa.
Then, in May 2021, came the shocking revelation that Cannon had also impregnated model Alyssa Edwards, meaning that the former rapper will soon be a father of seven kids — four of those will have been born in the timespan of just six months.
So what’s the truth, and has Cannon responded to the latest report? Here’s the lowdown…
Nick Cannon’s Many, Many Kids
Three years into his marriage with Carey, Cannon and his then-wife welcomed their twins Moroccan and Monroe, who were born on April 30, 2011.
Nobody would have assumed that five years later, the duo would go their separate ways and finalize their divorce — but even though they’re no longer together, co-parenting their two kids has never been an issue for either of them.
Cannon still enjoys family events with Carey and their offsprings, having regularly celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving together in the past.
Their split may have taken everyone by surprise, but Cannon and Carey both seemed to be in a good space knowing that even though the marriage didn’t work out, they were able to work out any differences in order to effectively raise their kids without drama.
After a much-needed break from the dating scene, Cannon eventually started seeing Bell, who he welcomed a baby boy with in 2017 named Golden.
In an official Instagram post, the 40-year-old wrote, “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness.”
Then, in December 2020, Bell and Cannon welcomed their second child, Powerful Queen, in another Instagram statement, which read, "So much more to share. All I can say is that Nick was my rock through the most intense yet empowering natural water birth. It was nothing but POWERFUL.”
"The best gift ever ♥️ we have been surprised with... A GIRL!!!!! Powerful Queen Cannon came this week perfect timing for Christmas,” Bell continued.
Just five months later, however, it was revealed that Cannon was expecting TWINS — but not from Bell; this time it’s with model Abby De La Rosa, who the part-time actor is believed to have started dating long before the birth of Powerful in December 2020.
Clearly, things appear to be overlapping, which instantly made fans question whether Cannon was cheating on Bell or whether he was just in an open relationship with all of the women he has gotten pregnant with since his split from Carey.
After all, it’s somewhat bizarre that Rosa learned about her pregnancy in December 2020 — the same month Cannon would welcome his fourth child into the world.
In an Instagram post, Rosa gushed about her pregnancy with twins in the caption of a photo that shows her flaunting her baby bump while standing next to Cannon.
“Thank you for choosing me to be your Mommy. I know the Lord has destined me and prepared me for the gift of not one but two little angels. I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy.
“That God bless you and your brother and guide you into living out your full purpose. Your Dad & I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support.
And in May 2020, it was once again reported that Cannon is expecting his SEVENTH child with Edwards.
The pair were first seen together back in October 2020, but many assumed that they were just good friends. Knowing that Edwards is now heavily pregnant, it would once again indicate that Cannon was having a relationship with multiple women — three of which were all pregnant at the same time.
It’ll be interesting to see how Cannon manages to be a father of seven while juggling his hectic career.
