Fast and Furious movie franchise star, Tyrese Gibson, is filthy rich, he's had an illustrious career and boasts an impressive resume. He's so rich, he once bought his eight-year-old daughter an entire island. The father of two is as famous for his acting and music as he is for his colorful love life. The star has now had two messy divorces, which have subsequently led to intense custody battles. He's recently been ordered to pay a hefty sum in child support for his three-year-old daughter Soraya, who he had with recent ex-wife Samantha Lee.

The star also reportedly pays child support for his 15-year-old daughter Shayla, who he had with his first wife Norma Gibson. Is this enough to leave a dent in his hefty bank account? Maybe now it isn't, but in 2018, reports said the star alleged that he was only making $51k on average per month. However, it was recently revealed that he made more than $2M that year.

The 30-second slot opened the door for Tyrese, who was only 16 at the time, to appear in ads for Guess and Tommy Hilfiger."

Tyrese Was Ordered To Pay More Than $10k Per Month For Daughter Soraya

Samantha was originally going for $20k a month in spousal support, which the actor claimed was unreasonably high. However, according to the ruling, Sam only gets half of that in child support instead. Their divorce and custody battle has been contentious but was recently finalized after two years.

TMZ reported, "Tyrese's courtroom showdown with his estranged wife, Samantha Lee Gibson, wrapped up Tuesday evening in Georgia with the judge ordering the actor to pay $10,690/month in child support. The exes have a daughter, Soraya."

The payments have been backdated to 2020 when Samantha filed for divorce. "Now, the hitch for Tyrese is the judge said the $10k/month dates back to when Samantha first filed for divorce in Sept. 2020 … which means he owes his ex a lump sum of $209k."

"However, Tyrese got a credit, noting he had been making Samantha's car payments for 2 years, the judge knocked off $46k ... bringing the lump sum down to $169k."

He Is Reportedly Paying Roughly The Same Amount For Daughter Shayla

Soraya is the actor's second child; he has another daughter from his previous marriage to Norma Gibson. The pair were married from 2007 to 2009 before calling it quits, and it wasn't pretty.

From abuse allegations, and a request for a restraining order, to fighting for custody of Shayla, there was a lot of drama. Norma accused the actor of being an absentee father who neither supported her nor their daughter financially.

However, this was refuted when it was revealed that the star was paying $10,000 in child support to Norma. Back then, the actor was said to be experiencing financial challenges. He claimed that he was spending more than he was making. Although it's been recently revealed that he made more than $2M in 2018, the year he claimed to be struggling financially.

At the time, TMZ reported, "Tyrese just filed docs responding to Norma Gibson's request for him to pay for her divorce attorney, and they reveal some serious monthly expenses. According to the docs, Tyrese says he's dropping about nearly $114k each month for his mortgage, child care, groceries, utilities and $10k in child support payments to Norma."
