Ellen DeGeneres has been absolutely crushing the game when it comes to her daytime talk show "The Ellen Show". After its debut way back in 2001, with Jennifer Aniston being Ellen's very first guest, the show has skyrocketed to one of the biggest and most successful talk shows to date! Although many have compared Ellen to iconic hosts such as Oprah Winfrey, the star has managed to completely transform her once comical show into the most-watched daytime talk show ever.

Despite her success and longevity, Ellen appears to have hit quite the speedbump in her career after it was revealed that "The Ellen Show" has been a toxic and cruel work environment for countless employees, guests, and patrons of the show. Although Ellen is going through it with a large number of fans turning on her, we're certain she and her massive salary will be just fine!

Million Dollar Talk Show

Ellen DeGeneres has become a staple figure in the world of Hollywood! The star first began as a stand-up comedian who later scored her very own show "Ellen" in 1994. While things ended abruptly for the star after her public coming out, the comedian regained her status as one of the best after landing her very own talk show, "The Ellen Show", in 2001. While Ellen dealt with tremendous competition from "The Oprah Winfrey Show", she has since managed to become the most-watched daytime talk show host on television.

With a platform as big as "The Ellen Show" and massive names such as Jennifer Aniston, Chrissy Teigen, Justin Bieber, and Demi Lovato all routinely appearing on the show, it's no surprise that more and more people want their daily Ellen fix! Talk Show No More?

Last month, it was revealed that "The Ellen Show" is an incredibly "toxic" and cruel work environment. Ellen has since been labeled as one of the "meanest women in Hollywood", despite encouraging viewers to "be kind to one another" at the end of each and every one of her shows. While Ellen has remained silent on the matter, victims of "The Ellen Show" toxicity have all stepped forward with hundreds of testimonials explaining their experience.

From discrimination by the show's producers, to assistants being told not to look toward or speak to Ellen ever, it seems as if kindness is lacking on the set of Ellen's show. Although the host has stepped forward claiming she knew none of this, fans aren't buying her excuses. According to a number of past guests, which include makeup star Nikkie de Jager, famously known as NikkieTutorials and actor Brad Garrett, have claimed to have less than favorable experiences with the talk show host.

"The Ellen Show", which normally receives anywhere between 2  - 3 million viewers per episode, has since seen a rapid decline in ratings since Ellen began hosting her show from home and after news broke regarding the workplace harassment. "The Ellen Show" currently receives on average 1.2 million views per week, leading many to believe Ellen's reign as supreme is over.

The star has allegedly spoken to her producers and said that she "has had enough" and is reportedly ready to walk away from the show for good! While an investigation of "The Ellen Show" is currently underway, who knows where this leaves Ellen and the show. Many fans are calling for a brand new host, while others are saying to scrap the entire things for good!

Ellen has remained silent on the matter for quite a bit, however, her wife, Portia de Rossi, took to Instagram to express her gratitude to those who have remained supportive of Ellen and even created a hashtag, #IStandWithEllen. Fans were not feeling Portia's post one single bit, claiming the hashtag was a pathetic attempt at pity while they hide in their $24 million California home. Although things are still very much up in the air regarding Ellen and the shows' status, it seems as if things have it an all-time low and only time will be able to tell.
