The MCU is the leading franchise in the entertainment industry, and at this point, they can't seem to miss with their newest projects. Their universe is constantly expanding, but instead of outgrowing itself, the MCU has managed to keep things gripping and contained enough for fans of all ages to follow.

Elizabeth Olsen has been thriving as Scarlet Witch in the franchise since 2014, and her recent triumph on WandaVision was amazing to see. Over time, fans have grown curious about the star's pay for playing Scarlet Witch.

Let's take a closer look at how much Olsen has made in the MCU.

Elizabeth Olsen Has Been Fantastic As Scarlet Witch

In 2014, Elizabeth Olsen made her debut as Scarlet Witch in a post-credit scene for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and while fans were ecstatic at the thought of Scarlet Witch coming into the fold, they genuinely had no idea just how big of a part Olsen would play in the MCU's future.

Since that first appearance, Olsen has gone on to appear in major movies like Captain America: Civil War, and in three separate Avengers movies, including Endgame, which is the biggest Marvel movie to date. Earlier this year, the actress even got her own show on Disney+.

Even though Olsen has been sublime during her time in the MCU, there have been points that have seen the actres totally unsure of her MCU future.

"Especially after they killed Paul (laughs). We thought, ‘Well, they’ll have to figure some way to bring you back. You’re a robot, I’m a witch, they’ll figure something out.’ We just didn’t know to what capacity we’d be able to explore our characters more. But because of this show, and having an opportunity to tell a larger story about her, I feel like I’ve had a whole new rediscovery of who she is. I’ve rejuvenated and given her more life after six years of playing her, so that feels incredible," she said in an interview.

The recent ending of WandaVision certainly showed that Olsen will be around for years to come, and it goes without saying that she got a shiny new contract with Marvel not too long ago.

She Negotiated A New Deal With Marvel

Now that Marvel has made a leap to the small screen, many of the actors who got original shows were able to land fresh contracts. This included Elizabeth Olsen, along with names like Anthony Mackie.

One interesting thing to note about Olsen's contract is that it is not a multi-picture deal, which is something that other performers have received. The MCU likes to keep their talent on board for as a long as possible, but things have changed a bit over time with Olsen.

When speaking about this, the actress said, "I never know how much longer I’m part of the universe (laughs). I don’t have a nine-picture deal or whatever. It’s always kind of changing for the last six years. So it’s always surprising to me when I find out about a new project or a new way to use Wanda."

Details of the new deal aren't known, but clearly, the MCU values what the actress brings to the table and they have huge plans for her in future projects.

Despite the terms of her contract remaining unknown, fans are still curious to know how much the actress has made while playing Scarlet Witch.

She's Made Bank

So, how much has Elizabeth Olsen officially made during her time in the MCU? At this point, there is no definitive number, but a quick look at what other MCU mainstays have made will reveal that Olsen has likely pocketed millions.

According to StyleCaster, "Given that Scarlet Witch isn’t one of the original MCU Avengers and isn’t the lead of any standalone films, it’s expected that her Marvel salary is less than the other Avengers. Though her paychecks are likely lower, we still expect her salary to be in the millions for blockbuster films like Avengers: Endgame (which grossed more than $2 billion) and her own Disney+ series, WandaVision."

Olsen has quite literally been featured in multiple films that have grossed over $1 billion in the franchise, and she has been the lead on her own series. Her upfront paydays were probably nice enough, but residuals from the MCU's biggest projects have certainly led to a ton more money through the years.
