How Much Is James Marsters Worth Today?

James Marsters first began his on-screen career in the '90s after moving from Chicago to Seattle. The star managed to land his first role in the series Northern Exposure from 1992 to 1993, however, it was not until the end of the decade that the star managed to score himself bigger roles.

The actor's first film role came around in 1999 when he appeared in the movie, House On Haunted Hill, which starred Ali Larter, Taye Diggs, and Famke Janssen, to name a few. James then landed his role on the hit show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which was inspired by the 1992 film of the same name.

Marsters played Spike and began working on the series in its second season. While James was part of the show on a recurring level for seasons two and three, he finally made it to the main cast come the fourth season. James also starred as the same character on the series, Angel, from 1999 to 2004.

The show, which starred the talented Sarah-Michelle Gellar as the lead, catapulted James' career, so much that it landed him a part on Smallville, which he was a part of for 5 years! Luckily for James, his on-screen success has allowed him to amass a net worth of $5 million, says CelebrityNetWorth.

While acting is certainly his claim to fame, James is also a talented musician! He was the lead singer for the rock band, Ghost Of The Robot, between the years 2003 to 2004. In 2005, James released his own album, Civilized Man, which allowed him to go on and release two other albums later on.

As if that weren't enough, the actor has since moved on over to voice acting and audiobook recording, which led him to narrate the entire Dresden Files series on Audible, which has certainly contributed to the stars' impressive net worth. From acting, singing, and now narrating, it's become clear that James Marsters can really do it, and get paid a lot for it, too!
