How Much Is Steve Howey Worth?

Steve Howey has been gracing our television screens since his debut back in the early 2000s, however, it was his role on the hit series, Shameless, that truly catapulted his career to great heights.

After playing the role of Van Montgomery in Reba, alongside the country singer herself, JoAnna Garcia, and Melissa Peterson, to name a few, Howey went on to land a few guest-starring and smaller roles in a handful of TV shows.

In addition to his time on the small screen, the Texas-native has also appeared on the big screen! In 2009, Howey appeared in Bride Wars alongside Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson before landing roles in Supercross, DOA: Dead or Alive, and Game Over, Man!

Luckily for Steve, acting came naturally as his father, Bill Hower, was also in the entertainment business. The duo have worked together in the past, mainly in Bill Howey's independent film, Class, which he wrote and directed, all while casting his son to not only act but produce the film, too!

Now, with the success of Steve's role on Shameless, the actor has managed to amass an impressive net worth of $2 million, and it's all thanks to his extraordinary resume of work.

The actor appeared alongside major names for the span of the show's decade-long run including William H. Macy, and Emmy Rossum, who earned a whopping $350,000 per episode, leading experts to estimate that Steve was taking home on average $100,000 per episode.

In addition to his success on-screen, the actor has had a huge support system by his side, his family! Although he and his now ex-wife, Sarah Shahi, announced their split last year, the two remain extremely close and amicable, especially for the sake of their children, Knox, Violet, and William Howey.

The split came as quite a shock, which left many to suspect whether Steve's sexuality played a role. In 2012, the actor Tweeted out that he "is gay and proud" confusing many, however, he later clarified that he is, in fact, straight but wishes to squash the stigma surrounding the LGBT community and coming out.

Despite his and Sarah's split, Steve remains active in the industry and is ready for his next project now that Shameless has come to an unfortunate series end.
