The Big Bang Theory may have aired its finale in May 2019 but fans will never forget the fun of watching this sitcom for 12 seasons. When Melissa Rauch was cast as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, she was a great addition to the cast right away. Viewers enjoyed watching her relationship with Howard Wolowitz as the two characters fell in love and even became husband and wife.

Melissa Rauch always looks beautiful and she has both good looks and a hilarious personality going for her, so it makes sense that she has played many comedic roles over the years. Fans are curious to know what her net worth is, so let's look at the money that she has made.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Melissa Rauch has a net worth of $20 million. TV Over Mind says that when she was in college, she started doing stand-up comedy, and it definitely looks like all of that practice paid off as she won a role on one of the most popular sitcoms of all time.

Rauch is a very creative person who has been involved with projects other than just acting. In 2015, she had a movie premiere at Sundance that she and her husband, Winston Rauch, wrote together. The Bronze tells the story of Hope Ann Gregory, a woman who used to be an Olympic gymnast. Rauch talked to Interview about being creative with her husband and said, "We met in New York at Marymount Manhattan College, and we were writing partners all throughout school. We would write sketches together. We enjoyed doing it for fun. When we graduated from college, we were waiting tables and looking for jobs, so we wrote a one-woman show for me."

As The Huffington Post says, the college job that Rauch held was at a sports bar in New York City, so she can relate to the fact that Bernadette has worked as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory.

Her Time As Bernadette

Everyone loves Bernadette and it's definitely true that while this character is on the dorky side, there are many pictures of Melissa Rauch that wouldn't be in the same category at all.

Cheat Sheet says that when Rauch played Bernadette, she was being paid $500,000 for each episode of The Big Bang Theory.  This is the same pay that Mayim Bialik was being given. Celebrity Net Worth says that before Rauch received such a high salary, she got $75,000 for each episode. This puts her total per season at $11 million.

One of Bernadette's most memorable aspects is her voice, and Rauch according Cinema Blend, it was her idea. She said, "That was something that I came in with on my own. That was something I did in the audition and then ran with it. That's actually my real voice and this is my fake voice." As Rauch told TV Insider, she actually was inspired by her very own mother. She said that during her childhood, she would often copy her mom's voice, as her mom is from New Jersey and speaks in a high pitch.

Rauch has also shared that she enjoyed seeing Bernadette change: the actress said, “Over the years, she's sort of found her big-girl voice. When we originally met her, she didn't really like kids. She didn't know how she would interact with them." She continued that seeing the character decide to start a family meant a lot to her. She said, "And it's been really cool to follow that journey from her not knowing if she even wanted kids to not knowing if she'd be a good mom to the struggle of when she finally did become a mom — that moment of, like, ‘What is going on?’"
