Throughout his arrest and punishment, Anna Duggar has stood by her husband’s side. It can be remembered that on April 29, 2021, Josh Duggar was arrested on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography which he allegedly received in 2019. The following day, he pleaded not guilty to the charges levied against him and was released on conditional bail not long after.

Unfortunately, later in December, he has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison. He was found guilty of the charge and will spend 151 months in prison, and after release, he will spend 20 years under supervision. Since his imprisonment, Anna was left to her own and now, fans are wondering how she will support her seven children. All eyes are on her and her children’s future.

What Will Anna Duggar Do While Josh Is In Prison?

After a lengthy trial, Josh Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting was charged with possession of child pornography. After the case was heard in court, he had to wait several months before he was sentenced. Judge Timothy Brooks sentenced the former reality star to 12 years behind bars, followed by 20 years of supervised release and a hefty fine.

Throughout the trial, Josh’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stood strongly behind him, but no one supported him more than his wife Anna. She remains by her husband’s side throughout the trial and after. Now that Josh has been sentenced to over a decade behind bars, all eyes seem to be on her future and the seven children.

While Josh is in prison, Anna has started being seen more often at events in recent months. Duggar family followers spotted Josh’s wife attending the matrimonial ceremony of Jeremiah Duggar and Anna Wissman. This was based on a leaked photo on Reddit. The picture reportedly shows Anna seated with one of her sons, however, it’s unclear whether all her seven children were present at the time.

It was also confirmed that Anna made an appearance at her friend Gabrielle Patton’s vow renewal ceremony. This was verified via Patton’s own Instagram Story. In the photo shared by the bride, the reality star can be seen grinning from ear to ear while wearing a formal dress and donning a gorgeous hairdo. Her sisters-in-law, Abbie Duggar, Joy Forsyth, and mother-in-law Michelle Duggar were also in attendance.

This love-filled ceremony comes just one month before Anna’s husband was scheduled to be sentenced for child pornography charges. Though she previously appeared on Counting On and other Duggar family projects, Anna has been keeping a low profile since her husband’s arrest.

The last time she took to Instagram was in February, when she claimed there was “more to the story” about Josh’s conviction. Not so surprisingly, she turned off the comment section on the post. But with her recent appearance at some events, fans are wondering how she is making a living to support her family.

How Does Anna Duggar Support Her Seven Children?

Duggar family critics can’t help but wonder how Anna is getting by without a discernable source of income, not to mention that she must support her seven kids. According to reports, she has never held a job outside the home as she married Josh shortly after turning 20 and left her family’s home in Florida to live in Arkansas.

Currently, her support system consists mostly of the Duggar family members. That’s why she might not be all that helpless.

Since TLC canceled the reality TV shows, 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On, the Duggar lost a huge source of income. As Josh was the sole breadwinner of the family, it appears that Anna is getting help from in-laws Jim Bob and Michelle when it comes to providing for the seven kids.

Anna and her seven children also live in a warehouse on Duggar property and as an insider revealed, Jim Bob and Michelle would prefer it stays that way. Josh’s parents reportedly want her and the kids to stay with them until Josh is released.

The insider said, “Anna wasn’t shocked. She is relieved that it’s over though. Now comes the hard decision, whether to stay and wait for Josh to come out or start her life over without him. Some of her kids will be grown with possibly children of their own by the time their dad gets out.”

Finally, the source added, “Everyone feels sympathy for Anna, she’s been living in a bad dream, and she needs a wake-up call.” Many fans and critics alike are begging Anna not to have any contact with Josh for the sake of their children.

Now, it is up to her how she will deal with the aftermath of the problem. Will she stick with the Duggar or move away to get a job to support the kids?

Although we can’t get into Anna’s mind, it is safe to assume that she will lie low for the foreseeable future. Parenting seven children with a partner isn’t easy, let alone doing it herself for the next decade. Hopefully, she could still have a support system in place, whether that includes her in-laws or not.
