The Oscars had several memorable moments. In truth, it was a night about the comebacks. Brendan Fraser went from his days with George of the Jungle, to winning an Oscar for The Whale years after fans though his career was over.

Michelle Yeoh experienced a similar fate, as she took on the role in Everything Everywhere All At Once over Jackie Chan, and shined while doing so.

The king of rom-coms Hugh Grant made the headlines for different reasons, and it has to do with his interview alongside Ashley Graham on the red carpet. In truth, it was far from the only time Grant went off the page during a chat.

We'll take a look back a few moments that standout, including one alongside Oprah.

Hugh Grant isn't the easiest interview and that held true for Ashley Graham and the Oscars, as they tried to get anything out of the actor, but he was very minimal with his answers.

When asked if he was rooting for anyone in particular, Grant responded by saying, "No one in particular."

Graham would also try to bring up Glass: Onion but once again, Grant wasn't having it. "Well, I’m barely in it. I’m in it for about three seconds."

In truth, Grant has a history of being short during interviews. During his sitdown with Oprah back in the day, he put down his own co-star Julia Roberts.

"Very big-mouthed! Literally, physically, she has a very big mouth. When I was kissing her I was aware of a faint echo." Again, they would try to get Grant back on track during the interview, mentioning that Roberts was a good person, in which Grant responded by saying, "I wouldn't go that far."

Grant would go on to admit that his current relationship with Roberts isn't on the best of terms because of past comments. “I’ve probably made too many jokes about the size of her mouth. She might hate me by now."

Grant also shaded Ellen during their interview. After she complimented her guest calling him "fantastic, smart and all those things," Grant responded back by saying, "I wish I thought that about you..."

Clearly, Grant has a history and the same held true during his talk with Oprah.

Making comments about Julia Roberts wasn't Hugh Grant's only memorable moment alongside Oprah. There was indeed another moment that had the fans talking, as the host tried to dig a little deeper into Grant's personal life.

Oprah asked, "How are you feeling about this relationship," with a serious tone. Grant was quick to counter and stop the situation in its tracks. He responded by saying, "Oh God, um, I really want to shut you up."

The situation was met with big laughter by the audience, including from Oprah herself. Though in truth, we have reason to believe that there was a lot of truth behind what Grant was saying.

The moment can be seen in the video below at the :32 second mark. The video also shows some of Grant's other savage interview moments.

Jon Stewart is one of the many hosts that didn't have the easiest time with Hugh Grant. This caused his ban from The Daily Show. Stewart revealed that things got problematic behind the scenes between Grant and his team.

“He’s giving everyone sh– the whole time, and he’s a big pain in the ass,” Stewart recalled.

Grant also complained about the clip showed of his film at the time. Stewart combated this by telling the actor to make a better movie next time... Looking back at his experience, Grant would make a comment and admitted to not being easy to deal with, especially alongside Jon Stewart.

"Turns out my inner crab got the better of me with TV producer in 09. Unforgivable. J Stewart correct to give me kicking," Grant admitted on Twitter over a decade ago in 2012.

Grant would also admit that his attitude caused a big hiatus, as Hollywood just wouldn't cast him.

"I developed a bad attitude from about 2005 onwards, shortly after Music and Lyrics,” Hugh shared with the Los Angeles Times.

“I just had enough. Then I went back in 2009 and made another film. At that point, it wasn’t me giving up Hollywood. Hollywood gave me up because I made such a massive turkey with that film with Sarah Jessica Parker.”

Grant had projects coming out in 2023, along with other work to be released in the future. Clearly, his time in Hollywood isn't quite up just yet.
