Certain talk show bans have been made public. However, we can only imagine how many more there are. In truth, although an interview can run smooth on-screen, doesn't mean things were as positive behind the camera. That was the case with Hugh Grant and Jon Stewart back in the day. We'll revisit the moment between the two. Credit to Grant who was at least able to acknowledge his behavior and apologize for it publicly. Dax Shepard got a temporary ban from Conan O'Brien's show, after he arrived to the set completely out of it. Thankfully, once he got cleaned up, the actor was invited back. The late Barbara Walters issued a ban of her own. It is said that the legendary host wasn't a fan of Kathy Griffin, and might've even purposely dodged the comedian during her appearance on The View. For now, let's take a look at Grant's ban, and other stars that like Hugh, weren't invited back.

Hugh Grant's ban had very little to do with the interview itself on The Daily Show. Instead, it was his antics behind the scenes that caused lots of headaches for the show. Speaking to Stephen Colbert, Stewart recalled Grant acting like a diva behind the scenes, and telling the production team he had places to be.

“He’s giving everyone sh– the whole time, and he’s a big pain in the ass,” Stewart recalled.

Grant also wasn't pleased with the clip shown from The Daily Show, promoting his film at the time, Did You Hear About the Morgans. It wasn't what Grant had in mind, though hilariously, it wasn't The Daily Show that picked the scene, it actually came from his own team.

“What is that clip? It’s a terrible clip.” “Well, then make a better f–--- movie," Stewart said.

Ultimately, the actor was never invited back again. Surprisingly, he did address the story, and he didn't shy away from it either.

Credit to Hugh Grant back in December of 2012, the actor took to Twitter and acknowledged the ban from Jon Stewart. Lots of actors would either totally disregard the story, or attempted to save face by hitting back.

Credit to Grant for agreeing with the former host.

He wrote on Twitter, "Turns out my inner crab got the better of me with TV producer in 09. Unforgivable. J Stewart correct to give me kicking."

In truth, bans happen a lot in the world of entertainment. There are some we know about, and others that are kept private.

However, the likes of David Letterman and other hosts have been very strict about not bringing certain guests back. Like Grant, for some, it is because of their behavior behind the scenes. While others, just give very little during interviews.

Hugh Grant Is Far From The Only Guest To Be Banned From A Talk Show

David Letterman tends to have thick skin when it comes to interviews. However, former regular Harmony Korine might've taken things too far. The filmmaker was an entertaining guest, though his interviews were starting to get sloppier as the years rolled by.

A certain moment was the tipping point for Letterman, as he caught the filmmaker going through Meryl Streep's purse. The show canceled his appearance, while Letterman banned him from the show.

The former Late Show host recalls, "I went upstairs to greet Meryl Streep and welcome her to the show, and I knock on the door … and she was not in there," he said. "And I looked around, and she was not in there, and I found Harmony going through her purse. True story. And so I said: 'That's it, put her things back in her bag and then get out.'"

Lots of other bans have taken place. This one, between Kyle and Jackie O, along with Matt LeBlanc occurred because of his lack of interest during the interview.

"He was very arrogant and then he had to get hung up on and sworn at. And then banned from ever coming back again. Worst interview in the world. The guy said 15-words the entire interview."

In fairness to LeBlanc, he is a quiet guy off-camera. He's typically associated to his Joey character from Friends, but he's not that guy in real-life.
