Earlier this week, Netflix revealed that the hit Nickelodeon show iCarly will premiere on the streaming platform next month, along with an array of highly anticipated films like To All The Boys: Always and Forever and Malcolm and Marie.

The first and second seasons of the series will be available to stream on Netflix. Unfortunately, the other four seasons will not be added.

The show followed the adventures of Carly Shay, a teenage girl who starts a web show with her best friends, Sam and Freddie. It ran for 6 seasons on Nickelodeon, with the first episode airing in 2007 and the last in November 2012..

Despite the show being off the air for almost a decade, fans will soon be able to relive the nostalgia on Netflix. This addition came as a surprise to many fans, especially with a reboot for new streaming platform, Paramount Plus, recently announced to be in the works.

Fans of the beloved sitcom took to Twitter to express their excitement for the show arriving on the streaming platform:

Between this and the revival, iCarly fans have a lot to celebrate. Last month, TVLine reported that the hit series reboot will feature original cast members Miranda Cosgrove (Carly), Nathan Kress (Freddie), and Jerry Trainor (Spencer, Carly's older brother and guardian).

As of right now, it is still unknown if Jennette McCurdy and Noah Munck, who played Sam and Gibby, will make an appearance. Both of their characters played a prominent role in the original series.

The revival is set to premiere on new streaming network, Paramount Plus, which is itself set to launch on March 4. There has been limited information released regarding the plot of the reboot, but we know that the show will take place 10 years after the finale.

An official release date has not been confirmed due to the pandemic. However, it is rumored that the revival will premiere in late 2021 or the early 2022.

The first and second seasons of iCarly will be available to stream on February 8 on Netflix. Until then, fans can watch all five seasons on CBS All Access and Amazon Prime.
