Since Gossip Girl came to an end back in 2012, fans had to figure out which other entertaining shows were worth watching. There aren't really any shows out there that can replace a show like Gossip Girl! Keeping it real, Gossip Girl really brought every single possible interesting subject to the table.

Gossip Girl also starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Taylor Momsen. The male stars included Penn Badgley, Chase Crawford, and Ed Westwick in the leading roles. The incredible cast of actors made the show so much more enjoyable to watch.

10 Pretty Little Liars

There is a reason why Pretty Little Liars was as popular as it was during its hay day. It is also super comparable to Gossip Girl. It focuses on a group of teenage girls who are being stalked by someone who is genuinely jealous of them and their lifestyles. Their stalker follows them around and blackmails them into doing things they really do not want to be doing. The show gets more and more intense as the episodes progress and as they get closer to finding out who their stalker really is.

9 90210

90210 is a spin-off of Beverly Hills: 90210 which premier back in the 90s. The modern version of the show is comparable to gossip girl for plenty of reasons but the main reason is the fact that it focuses on a group of teenagers who are financially wealthy and extremely privileged. The main difference is that on Gossip Girl, the teenagers live in Manhattan while on 90210, the teenagers live near the California beaches.

8 The OC

One of the most intense and awesome TV shows to watch that premiered between 2003 and 2007 would have to be The OC. The show focuses on teenagers who come together at Newport Beach from very different lifestyles. One teenager came from the wrong side of the tracks with his underprivileged family while other teenagers have a lot to bring to the table financially. Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson were two of the main actresses on this show.

7 The Vampire Diaries

Although The Vampire Diaries often gets compared to Twilight, it should actually be getting compared to gossip girl way more often! The reason why is that it focuses on love triangles, high school drama, and the intensity of teenage emotions.

On The Vampire Diaries, viewers get to watch Elena Gilbert as she goes through the highs and lows of her romantic feelings for Stefan and Damon Salvatore. The show also deals with doppelgängers, werewolves, and so much more.

6 One Tree Hill

For those who haven’t already watch One Tree Hill, it’s never too late to get started. The show can be streamed on Netflix at this very moment. It can also be streamed on Hulu. The first episode premiered in 2003 in the final episode premiered in 2012. It ran for nine seasons! Only shows that are really intense and successful end up getting that many seasons. It is common knowledge that TV shows to focus on teenagers that don’t do too well get canceled after one or two seasons.

5 The Carrie Diaries

Fans of Sex and the City rejoiced when The Carrie Diaries was really because it gave a little bit of insight into what Carrie Bradshaw’s life was like when she was a teenager. She was the type of girl who got into trouble here and there but for the most part, was always very respectful. She grew up experiencing the highs and lows of friendship, romance, and family life growing up without a mother figure to help her and guide her.

4 Skins (US)

There are two versions of the show Skins but the US version is definitely worth watching. For some reason, it only got one season because it definitely deserved more seasons in that. The show followed a group of teenagers who loved to party and get into a lot of trouble. For that reason alone, it is extremely comparable to gossip girl.

3 Euphoria

Zendaya leads the way in this amazing HBO original show called Euphoria. In fact, Zendaya is the youngest actress to win an Emmy award based on her time starting on this incredible show.

If I was a group of teenagers who get caught up with the wrong activities including the use of illegal substances, sharing intimate moments before they are ready, and so much more. Zendaya moved far away from her Disney Channel days.

2 The Secret Life Of The American Teenager

The Secret Life of the American Teenager is definitely a show worth watching. A lot of people make fun of the fact that the main character, Amy, got in trouble while she was at band camp after hooking up with the biggest player at the school and getting pregnant as a high school freshman. There isn’t really too many laughing matters in this TV show though… It is meant to be taken seriously because it is a drama about teen pregnancy and many other serious issues.

1 13 Reasons Why

13 Reasons Why is one of the most intense Netflix originals that was based on a book written by an author named Jay Asher. The show focuses on a teenage girl who owns her own life but leaves a bunch of recorded audiotapes to explain to the world why she felt the need to go to such extremes. Although this show is very emotional and sad, it sheds a lot of light on important issues that affect high school students today.
