Inside Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis' $10 Million Oceanfront Home

It is only a 15-minute drive from Santa Barabara where fellow A-listers like George Lucas and Natalie Portman have second homes. Ellen as well.

Someone once said that an actor becomes someone else when they play a role and a movie star plays themselves. Actor Ashton Kutcher and stunning actress Milas Kunis are movie stars big time. Kunis has occasionally done well with meaty roles, but for the most part, the duo sticks to the comedy thing.

They met on TV's That 70s Show. And Ashton has gone on to go for the laughs in shows like Two and a Half Men. Ditto for Mila, with comic turns in movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and 2016's Bad Moms.

They have been living with their two adorable kids Wyatt Isabelle and Dimitri in a $14 million Beverly  Hills mansion. But it appears that they are selling up and moving to the beach. It's hardly a shack. The house is right on the ocean and has its own beach. Wyatt Isabelle and Dimitri are thrilled!

Let's have a look inside Milas Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's $10 million oceanfront paradise. It is truly to die for.

From Beverly Hills To Santa Barbara

Milas Kunis and Ashton Kutcher put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market earlier this year for $14 million. Until it sells you could rent it out for a mere $49,000 plus a month. The house is gorgeous but has a formal "movie star" air about it. They've reduced the price down to around $12 million. At last word, still no takers. For a time after they bought the beach house, they were using the oceanfront property as a second home.

Now, it seems they've decided to get away from the whole Beverly Hills/Hollywood scene and just hang out at the beach. It was a family decision that everybody seems happy with. Kutcher and Kunis bought the oceanfront property in 2017.

The laid-back, beach vibe oceanfront property near Santa Barbara seems to suit the young couple and their two kids 6-year-old Wyatt Isabelle and 4-year-old Dimitri much more so than the sometimes stuffy environs of Beverly Hills.  Sure the Beverly Hills house is really nice, inside and out, but compared to the beach house it seems, well, a little formal and, well boring!

Let's get the basics out of the way. The family-friendly oceanfront home has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and is around 3,100 square feet in size. There are lots and lots of patio spaces and a veranda with that all-important view where you can do some laid back dining. Reportedly, it has an outdoor bar. Plus there's a second-floor balcony that's perfect for soaking up some sunshine.

The house and its grounds are secluded, but it is only a 15-minute drive from Santa Barabara where fellow A-listers like George Lucas and Natalie Portman have second homes. Ellen DeGeneres had a place there too. But she recently sold in for $23 million.  She and her wife Portia have a reputation for buying places, fixing them up, and then flipping them.

Reportedly, there is no hot tub at the Kutcher/Kunis abode. Remember the hot water Kutcher got into when he had a hot tub romp with a cutie while he was married to Demi Moore. That was the end of that marriage.

The house is open plan, with large windows that let in a lot of that California sunshine. It's a happy house.

The master comes complete with a surfboard! You wouldn't get that in Beverly Hills. And there are some very nice bedrooms that would be perfect for the kids and guests alike.

Mila had her hands full redecorating the place. But she has achieved a comfortable, kind of shabby-chic vibe, with lots of neutral colors and modern furniture.

Word is that Wyatt Isabelle and Dimitri had a hand in the design of their own bedrooms.

All in all, it seems very beachy, related, and family-friendly. If Ashton has taken up surfing, we predict he will sooner rather than later.

Location, Location, Location

Let's face it, paying $10 million dollars for a 3,100 square foot house seems a little bonkers. Some say, hey, it's nice, but it's not that nice.

Why did the house cost so much? You know why. It is right on the ocean, is secluded, has its own beach, and is only 15 minutes from Santa Barbara.

It's location, location, location that is the key. And with the refurb Mila Kunis did, the decor is cool and understated. Even the eat-in kitchen reflects the beachy vibe.
