In Hollywood, Seth MacFarlane is a true enigma. He is the man behind the animated adult comedy series Family Guy. Since then, he’s also gone on to create The Cleveland Show and American Dad. Aside from these, MacFarlane is also known for his vocal talent, particularly voicing some iconic characters in his shows.

Outside of work, fans have also been forever intrigued by MacFarlane’s forever youthful looks. Equally intriguing (or perhaps, more so) is his love life, especially because MacFarlane tends to keep his romances private.

He Had Been With Kate Todd

The Canadian singer and actress is best known for her roles in tv shows like Degrassi: The Next Generation and My Babysitter’s a Vampire. Reports indicate that MacFarlane and Todd were only together for a brief period. However, the two became good friends, so much so that Todd even posted a photo of the pair once.

He Had A Brief Romance With Eliza Dushku

MacFarlane reportedly went out with Buffy the Vampire Slayer star. “They met through mutual friends,” a source once told OK!. “They're enjoying each other's company so far. He makes her laugh a lot and she really enjoys good laughs and good conversation.” It is unclear how long their relationship lasted but reports indicate that they were only together for a short time.

He And Emilia Clarke Were Together For A Few Months

Fans first discovered that MacFarlane and Clarke were dating after they were spotted together at an HBO Emmy after party in September 2012. The Game of Thrones star later acknowledged her relationship with MacFarlane. During an interview with Glamour, she also recalled an instance when a fan came up to the couple and flat out questioned why Clarke was dating the Family Guy creator. “That happened in New York when Seth and I were together,” Clarke told Glamour. “This guy started to give me advice: ‘Can I get a selfie? And by the way…’ Unh-unh, bro.”

Sadly, Clarke and MacFarlane just several months later. As it turns out, being apart from each other eventually took a toll on their relationship. “It was really a location challenge,” a source told E! News. “She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends.” MacFarlane also later acknowledged his relationship with the actress. While speaking with Thompson in Hollywood, the show creator referred to Clarke as “an incredibly kind, supremely talented person and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met.”

He Was Later Linked To Alexis Knapp

Prior to their rumored hook up, the Pitch Perfect actress had been a guest voice talent on Family Guy where she worked on the episode entitled Valentine's Day in Quahog. MacFarlane and Knapp have also known each other for a long time and a romance between the two seemed inevitable.

“They've know [sic] each other for three years and have been getting closer for over a year,” an insider had told E! News. “They always had good chemistry.” There were also reports that MacFarlane and Knapp started dating while the actress was still pregnant with her child with ex Ryan Phillippe. However, a rep for Knapp had cleared things up saying, “Alexis and Seth have been great friends for years and nothing more.”

Rumors Surfaced That He Hooked Up With This Twilight Star

Around 2011, there were reports that MacFarlane’s friendship with actress Ashley Greene has become romantic. This occurred around the time that Greene had split from Joe Jonas. A supposed insider had even told In Touch, “He’s been spending late nights at her condo.”

However, Greene later decided to clear things up about this supposed relationship. “Seth and I are friends, and he texts me: 'I didn't know that not only were we dating, but we have since been confirmed to not be dating,’” Green revealed while speaking with Allure. “I can assure you that we're not.”

He Was Recently Linked To An Actress On The Orville

In recent months, reports have emerged that MacFarlane has been dating actress Anne Winters who is best known for her role in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. As fans may know, Winters had joined the cast of MacFarlane’s The Orville. Cast as Charly Burke, the actress is set to join MacFarlane, Scott Grimes, Adrianne Palicki, Jessica Szohr, Mark Jackson, and Chad L. Coleman as a series regular during the show's third season.

Even today, there’s no hint from MacFarlane has become intimate with his show’s newest star. However, a press release from December 2020 supposedly confirms that Winters and MacFarlane have become an item. That said, it remains unclear if there’s any truth to this statement.

Today, MacFarlane continues to work on all his hit shows. And if you check his social media, there are no hints regarding his romantic connections. Perhaps, that’s how he prefers it and fans would just have to keep on guessing.
