Martha Stewart has numerous things she wants us to forget when it comes to her past, however, the truth is, so does Snoop Dogg.

Still, both have managed to have absolutely epic careers, and we mean epic! It just so happens that these careers have crossed over on numerous occasions, including being professional celebrity roasters and being the stars of their very own cooking show.

With Martha Stewart's career being based on cooking and lifestyle, and Snoop Dogg's career based on rap, and weed, the two seem like an odd pairing. Just recently, Snoop enlisted Martha to promote '19 Crimes' wine, which is one of the things the two bond over!

Let's pull the curtain back a bit on Snoop's relationship with the queen of homemaking.

Updated on May 11, 2021, by Michael Chaar: Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg have certainly crafted quite the friendship! While their success on their hit VH1 show, Martha & Snoops Potluck Dinner Party, has always been a success, the duo have since gone on to partner up on an array of business ventures. After introducing Martha to Canopy Growth, Snoops leafy green line, Martha and Snoop are now collaborating today on their very own cannabis line. As if that weren't enough, the two have also collaborated together with none other than BIC, and filmed a commercial together that had fans loving every minute of it!

Their Relationship Started In 2008

Back in 2008, Martha Stewart invited Snoop Dogg onto her cooking show. During a 2019 interview with Today, Martha claimed that it was the odd-pairing that she thought people would tune in for.

Snoop agreed and claimed that she sort of pioneered the entire friendship and business partnership. On top of it, Snoop believes she opened the door for him and other rappers to go on daytime television.

Beforehand, they weren't really invited or wanted in that realm, however, Martha was ready to change that! Snoop was super relevant, talented, and seemed like he'd be a great guest, and well, he was!

In 2009, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper returned to Martha's daytime cooking and chat show, where their on-screen chemistry really picked up. While still being a PG show, the two constantly alluded to Snoop's love of the green leaf as they cooked together.

The clash of cultures, ages, and perspectives were downright hilarious, and fans loved every minute of it! Despite their closeness at the time, they weren't nearly as connected as they are today!

The very next year, their relationship kicked up a notch...

Justin Bieber Brought Martha And Snoop Together

Their relationship jumped to the next level during the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber. Both celebrities were invited onto the dais to roast the young musician.

"She sat next to me and she stole the show. She was the funniest roaster that night. At that moment, I knew I wanted to be alongside this lady for the rest of my life," Snoop said.

During an interview with Seth Meyers, Martha Stewart claimed that weed may have had something to do with the two hitting it off that night. This is because Snoop wouldn't stop smoking during the roast and Martha felt "high" off the fumes.

Snoop backed up this story while chatting with the great Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show. "It's just secondhand smoke, secondhand smoke. By the time she got up there to tell her jokes, she's whacked out of her head, but she steals the f***ing show."

Creating A Business Together

Not only did Snoop Dogg and Martha find their connection that night, but so did the audience. So much so that it became clear that Snoop and Martha could make money off of their unlikely pairing.

In 2016, it was suggested that they should have a show, titled Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producer SallyAnn Salsano noticed their intrinsic connection and pitched them a half-hour cooking show on VH1. They both agreed, and the first ten episodes were shot back-to-back over just five days, due to Snoop's busy touring schedule.

Martha And Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party earned high reviews (no pun intended) on Rotten Tomatoes and even earned them an Emmy nomination.

In the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Martha claimed she knew why people, including other celebrities like Seth Rogen and RuPaul, latched onto it so much.

"The melding of cultures is really what I want to see happen in the United States and so does Snoop," she said. "There shouldn't be any divides. There shouldn't be any question that we can all get together and get along."

Martha And Snoop Today

Since then, the two have continued on with various shows and business endeavors, including a 2018 cookbook, and a spoof on Ghost and Titanic.

While Martha has admitted that Snoop is attractive, both remain consistent that their relationship is purely platonic. After all, Snoop is a married man.

The duo have also gone on to expand their business ventures and are collaborating on a cannabis line with Snoop Dogg's very own company, Canopy Growth. This collab came hand-in-hand with their BIC lighter partnership, which totally was on brand when it came to their work relationship.

Make no mistake, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are legitimately best friends in real life, so much that the two even took a best friends test during their time together on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon!
