It's hard to believe that Kenan Thompson has been on Saturday Night Live for almost 20 years. In fact, he is the longest serving SNL cast member of all time, though he has sadly announced his departure from the show. This shock at Thompson's longevity is largely attributable to his seemingly eternal baby-faced appearance. But despite his youthfulness, Thompson is actually both a husband and a father.

Thompson is married to the stunning Christina Evangeline. Though he generally prefers to keep his family life private, Thompson and Evangeline live a pretty fascinating life. Here are 10 interesting facts about the couple's relationship.

10 She Is Over A Decade Younger Than Him

Fans have noticed that Kenan Thompson hasn't appeared to have aged in over 25 years. Accordingly, it doesn't actually look like there's much of an age gap between him and his wife.

But Christina Evangeline is just 32-years-old, while Thompson is 43. We can't help but wonder if Evangeline grew up watching her future husband in iconic '90s sitcom Kenan & Kel...

9 This Is How They Met

Thompson and Evangeline have been together for a long time, and lived together for a couple of years before committing to marriage.

They first met through talent manager Danny Estrada circa 2009 and immediately clicked. After dating for two years, they wed in 2011 when Evangeline was just 22.

8 These Are Their Adorable Kids

In 2014, the then 25-year-old Evangeline gave birth to the couple's first child, a daughter whom they named Georgia Marie. Then, in 2018, they welcomed a second daughter, Gianna Michelle. Evangeline frequently posts adorable snaps of her two daughters on social media and she and Thompson are clearly doting parents.

Meanwhile, Thompson has joked that he stopped being cool as soon as he became a father. "And definitely, my coolness just got sucked right out of me," he told People, explaining, "I didn't even feel it, but I just immediately started wearing black socks and shorts and just being really corny at stores and over-asking questions about items that are super obvious and in my face." Well, Kenan will always be cool to us...

7 The Family Is Disney-Obsessed

Many people remain obsessed with Disney into adulthood and Evangeline is among them. She constantly posts Disney-themed snaps on her Instagram account, and also documents the family's many trips to Disneyworld.

6 Evangeline's Family History Is Amazing

Aside from being the wife of a famous comedian, Evangeline's own family history is pretty amazing itself. As she revealed on Instagram, her paternal grandfather was one of the individuals involved in the building of the Twin Towers, while her father was instrumental in the reconstruction.

From her posts, it appears as though both her grandfather and dad have sadly passed away.

5 Evangeline Works Several Jobs

However, Kenan has previously courted controversy for his comments regarding SNL's lack of diversity; in 2013, he infamously claimed that the reason the long running series has cast few black women was supposedly due to black women not being "ready" for the show. But more recently, he has made amends by expressing his support for the BLM and Stop Asian Hate online campaigns.

3 Their Daughters Gave Thompson The Sweetest Birthday Tribute

Since Thompson has paid loving (and hilarious) tributes to his mom on SNL, the apple clearly doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to his own daughters.

In a wholesome Instagram video, the couple's two daughters paid a birthday tribute to their dad. They did a little birthday dance for him, before enthusiastically declaring, "Happy birthday, Daddy!" as our hearts collectively melted.

2 They Have Been Involved In Charitable Endeavors

DIPG is a type of brain tumor that occurs in children and is, tragically, almost always fatal. Subsequently, the couple has been involved in charity work to raise awareness of the disease.

As Evangeline explained, the cause is close to the couple's heart, as their friend sadly lost a child to DIPG. Moreover, she has volunteered for Save the Children and the American Refugee Committee.

1 This Is How Evangeline Felt About Her Husband's New Show

When it was announced that Thompson finally had his own sitcom, his wife wasn't entirely thrilled for him. On the show, Kenan, Thompson plays a fictionalized version of himself, raising 2 daughters. That sounds fine so far, but here's the catch: this version of Thompson is a widower.

Understandably, this didn't please Evangeline. As Thompson told Jimmy Fallon, "She was like, 'Oh, so I'm dead? But, I mean, she was giving me a hard time." He then had to remind her that the show is fiction, after all: "But I was like, 'Yeah... It's not you, you know what I mean? It's a show. It's a different thing."
