Who would have guessed, a few years back, that Kourtney Kardashian would have anything to do with Blink-182 and its music? It seemed unlikely that reality TV personality Kourtney and tattooed punk rocker Travis would make a perfect match, but the two were pals for a long time before things turned romantic. Ever since they confirmed they were dating, fans of both halves of the couple have been wondering how their relationship will play out.

The two did get legally married in May 2022, ahead of a lavish Gothic wedding in Italy, and since then, even more details have emerged about their relationship. Things have changed in both their lives, especially Travis Barker's. Though punk rock group Blink-182 never formally disbanded, their resurgence in popularity (and new music) might have something to do with Kourtney Kardashian. Kardashian fans already suspect that Travis has impacted Kourtney in many ways, namely when it comes to her style. But is the opposite true when it comes to Travis' music?

Some Fans Appreciate Kourtney's Influence On Travis Barker

Fans do seem reluctant to say good things about Kardashian, mostly because her persona does seem to clash with Blink-182's overall messaging. Yet many fans recognize that she has helped Travis in some ways, like when it came time to hop on a private jet.

Travis Barker joined Blink-182 in 1998, and the band went on hiatus in 2005 and didn't reconnect until after Travis' plane accident in 2008.

But although their reconciliation brought international tours back, Travis traveled by bus or boat to get there. In 2016, he talked about traveling to the UK on a cruise ship, a journey that took 10 days.

Though Travis Barker admitted he had a phobia of flying and post-traumatic stress disorder, he appeared to overcome that fear thanks to Kourtney Kardashian. In fact, some fans credit her with making Blink-182's world tour possible.

Obviously, things may not have worked out as well if Travis had refused to fly anywhere with Kourtney. Everyone knows the Kar-Jenners love their jet setting. Despite some criticism, it doesn't appear that Kourtney strong-armed Travis into flying. Rather, she supported him until he felt comfortable taking that step.

Not everyone is happy about Kourtney and Travis' romance, though.

She might be thrilled for her now-husband's tour with Blink-182, but fans weren't impressed with Kourtney's "Rockstar world tour wife" look. Redditors picked apart her Instagram post, in which the star wrote she was "getting ready to mosh," saying Kardashian is out of touch.

One fan wrote, "Kourtney has either never heard a Blink-182 or doesn’t understand what moshing is. I could honestly see both being true. Her pictures, caption, and attitude are giving 'Hello fellow kids."

Some suggested Kardashian was joking, but many Blink-182 fans took it seriously, bashing Kardashian for being embarrassing and having "terrible" style.

Some critics even went so far as to call her a "pickme," suggesting that the fishnet look was nothing more than an attempt at Kardashian "molding herself" to her man.

Harsh criticisms aside, Kardashian is getting people talking about Blink-182's world tour, and maybe that's not a bad thing.

Will Kourtney Kardashian Get More Of Travis Barker's Music Sold?

It's no secret that Kourtney is proud of Travis' success as a drummer, even if she wasn't ever a Blink-182 fan before dating him. So the fact that she's been promoting his new music on social media isn't surprising.

Fans think that her promotion may actually be helping sell music and concert tickets. Commenters on Reddit suggested that the group's planned upcoming album (which their new song "Edging" has preceded) could see significant action because of Travis' newfound reality TV fame.

Not everything is roses for dedicated Blink-182 fans, though. Some commenters pointed out that ticket prices are super expensive, and they think Kardashian might be to blame for that phenomenon too.

With prices at $925 for pit tickets at one location, fans who have been waiting to see the band in concert may have to start saving well in advance of the 2023 tour dates.
