For people who love teen drama, mystery, and the beloved Archie comic book characters, it doesn't get much better than Riverdale. Fans have high hopes for season five and also enjoy following the cast on social media. The show really took off right away.

Lili Reinhart has become famous for her portrayal of Betty Cooper, and whether she's raising mental health awareness or releasing her book of poetry Swimming Lessons, the star has a huge fanbase.

Reinhart is very honest in interviews, and that has led people to wonder if she's happy playing Betty Cooper on Riverdale. Let's take a look.

Does Lili Hate The Show?

Lili Reinhart has a $6 million net worth and she looks the part of Betty and brings a lot of vulnerability and emotional heart to the role.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected Hollywood, as many shows and movies had to shut down production in 2020. Going back to work meant following health and safety protocols.

In September 2020, Lili Reinhart told Nylon magazine she felt "like a prisoner." According to Insider.com, she spoke about what it was like being on set again. She said, "I genuinely feel like a prisoner going back to work because I cannot leave Canada. That doesn't feel good. You can't go home for Thanksgiving, can't visit your family. No one can come visit you unless they quarantine for two weeks."

This made people wonder if she was truly happy starring on the show, and people talked about this interview a lot.

According to Insider.com, Reinhart tweeted that people didn't understand what she meant. She said, "Love it when my words are taken out of context yet again. I'm not complaining about going back to work, I'm incredibly grateful to have a job. I'm sad that I can't see my family for months on end due to travel restrictions." She also said "leave me alone" and that people portray her as someone who is very angry because she does have to stand up for herself on a regular basis.

What Lili Has Said About 'Riverdale'

While it doesn't seem like Lili Reinhart hates starring on Riverdale, she is definitely very open about being on the show, and her fans appreciate her candor.

In June 2020, Reinhart joked about how crazy some of the plots on Riverdale are. According to Us Weekly, she said on an Instagram story, “I showed my costar a small piece of Riverdale's season 3 finale. “His response was ‘I can’t even imagine what’s happening in this show. The Famous Life

While Lili Reinhart has never said that she doesn't like Riverdale or that she's unhappy, she has been open about not loving being so famous.

In an interview with W Magazine, Reinhart shared that she began modeling and acting when she was a kid. She lived in Cleveland and her mother drove her to auditions in New York City.

Reinhart shared that people think that they are super close to her because they have seen her on the TV show. She explained, "Fans feel like they know who we are. And they feel entitled to touch us or ask us personal questions, which people have. You would never walk up to a stranger and hug them. You would never walk up to a stranger and ask them who are they dating… But when people come up and ask for pictures, it's like, of course."

In December 2018, Reinhart said that she is introverted in an interview with Marie Claire UK. She said that she never expected to be talking in front of a huge audience, like she has at Comic-Con, and that the other co-stars have "brought me out of my shell."

Also in 2018, Reinhart said that just because she was well-known didn't mean that she wanted to publicly talk about dating Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones on Riverdale. She said, "I'm not okay talking about my relationship. I'm not going to tell you my love story. That's just not appropriate right now.”

The actress also said that becoming famous wasn't the goal, and she explained, "I just am a performer." It definitely seems like she has a great, solid head on her shoulders.
