Midway through March this year, Taylor Tomlinson's blossoming career took another significant step forward: Her new comedy special debuted on Netflix. The production was titled Look at You, and it was the second by the talented 28-year-old comedian to feature on the streaming platform.
Tomlinson has been performing comedy since she was 16, with the support of her father, who enrolled her in a stand-up class. Apart from featuring on various shows and comedy events, the California-born comic has also toured and shared a stage with some her of her idols, among them fellow comedy star Whitney Cummings.
Her star is really starting to shine professionally, but Tomlinson's private life has not been a very open book. As with most other comedians, however, she does make reference to her relationship status from time to time in her material.
With the advent of the global COVID pandemic in 2020, Tomlinson hit the headlines when she started posting hilarious videos of her quarantining alongside her then-boyfriend, Sam Morril.

However, in late 2022, both comedians separately confirmed that they broke up and are now both single.
Who Is Taylor Tomlinson's Ex-Fiancé, Sam Morril?
Like Taylor Tomlinson, Sam Morril is also a stand-up comedian. However, he has also featured in various films and TV shows as an actor. He also has a number of credits to his name as a writer and producer. Now 35 years old, he was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, but raised in New York City.
Morril hails from an artistic family; his mother, Marilyn Greenberg is a painter and fiction writer. He took his surname from his step-father, Mark Charles Morril. His biological father is from the Elgort family, through whom Morril is related to West Side Story actor, Ansel Elgort.
After working his way up the comedy scene in New York, Morril landed his big break when he got the opportunity to intern on Stephen Colbert's The Colbert Report. Starting 2014, he also became a regular on late night comedy shows such as Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Morril auditioned for Season 11 of America's Got Talent in 2016, but was eliminated in the Judge Cuts. He has featured as an actor on Billions and Inside Amy Schumer, among others.

Taylor Tomlinson joked about being briefly engaged in an appearance as a guest comic on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in March 2020. "I've had an amazing year... I got engaged," her bit started, before then taking a turn for the worse: "Thank you, it did not work out!"
It was in the same month that she started posting the clips of her and Sam Morril in quarantine together, which makes it very unlikely that he was the subject of that material in the first place. The pair continued to share footage of their life in lockdown in what essentially became a short web series.
In those early days of the lockdown, Morril explained why they chose to start doing the short videos. "Well, we kind of lost control of our careers about a week ago... not just our careers, but our lives. [But] it’s fun to be creative together," he said.
Tomlinson also concurred with her boyfriend, saying, "We are genuinely stuck together, so we figured this would keep us sharp and creative, and not at each other’s throats."

In August 2021, Taylor Tomlinson was hosted by Seth Meyers on his Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she spoke about her stand-up career, as well as her relationship status. She did not mention Sam Morril by name, but her narration suggested that they were still together.

"[Sam's] like, if I have kids, we have to raise them here. And I was like, [no, because] I'm gonna love my children," Tomlinson quipped.

Though the comedian couple made it through the pandemic quarantine and a failed engagement, Taylor Tomlinson and Sam Morril have officially called it quits on their relationship. Tomlinson ended her podcast San In The City after only 17 episodes on April 5th, 2022. Fans took this as a sign that Tomlinson's personal life was in upheaval, which was true.
The Look At You comedian was a guest on the U Up? podcast on March 13th for the episode 'Is Sliding Into The DMs Less Creepy When Women Do It?' and discussed her comedy, mental health, and relationships. During the episode, she mentioned how she is now single. Morril has also used podcasts to reveal is newly single relationship status. He confirmed being single on Your Mom's House podcast, saying "I had a breakup in like February and I'm just not ready to date someone." Morril has also made several comments on the We Might Be Drunk podcast about how his relationship with Tomlinson ended badly.
