Now that so many people spend a good portion of their day online, it seems like new fan theories pop up on an hourly basis. In some cases, that means that big fans of certain movies or franchises throw out their ideas of what is really going on in their series of choice. Interestingly enough, some average Joes also have some pretty out-there ideas that relate to various celebrities.
Given the fact that Hollywood powerbrokers always want to follow the latest trends, it makes perfect sense that several celebrity actors wind up looking remarkably alike. For example, it is hard to look at images of people like Zach Braff and Dax Shepard, Jessica Chastain, and Bryce Dallas Howard, or Zooey Deschanel and Emily Blunt and not notice the similarities.
Despite all of those examples, there is one pair of celebrity actors that look so much alike that it has resulted in people thinking something pretty wild about them, Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly. Once you learn about the concept behind this theory, you can have lots of fun imagining Jaime Pressly taking over some of Margot Robbie’s best roles.
An Underrated Star
Unfortunately, Jaime Pressly isn’t among the most talked about actors in the world these days. However, there is no doubt that she has managed to make her mark on pop culture in many ways as she has starred in several highly popular projects over the years.
Best known as a TV actor, Jaime Pressly famously portrayed My Name Is Earl’s Joy Turner for years and she currently is one of Mom’s main stars. Also able to land a slew of big-screen roles over the years, Pressly was a memorable part of films like Not Another Teen Movie, Joe Dirt, Tomcats, and I Love You, Man among others.
Taking Hollywood By Storm
Even though some people may think that Margot Robbie became a major star overnight, people who’ve followed her career will know that she has been working for years. After all, her career really started to take off when she landed a role on the Australian soap opera Neighbours in 2008.
Extremely dedicated to her craft, Margot Robbie is known to put a lot of work into preparing for her roles. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that she was so great in movies like The Wolf of Wall Street, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Suicide Squad, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and I, Tonya.
A Wild Idea
If you look at certain pictures of Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly side-by-side or one after the other, there is no denying the fact that they look very similar to one another. Reacting to that, some fans have theorized that the two actors are in fact the same person and the masses just don’t know it.
For example, Twitter user @YoungSutraK posted photos of the two stars and wrote “But like Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly are the same person just in different lighting right?”. Another Twitter user with the handle @sirpeezy wrote “Ya’ll ever notice Jaime Pressly and Margot Robbie are the same person?” Celebrity Tyler Oakley also commented on photos of the two actors together by comparing them to Lindsay Lohan’s characters in The Parent Trap. “margot robbie & jaime pressly meeting for the first time is giving me annie james and hallie parker meeting at camp walden”. Of course, it seems pretty obvious that most of those posts were in jest.
Amazingly enough, the idea that Robbie and Pressly are the same person picked up enough steam that photographers asked Jaime about it. In response, Pressly said; “Right, right, well that would be she looks like me!" The actress also added that she's a fan of Margot's movies, saying: "I think she's great...I've loved everything she's done." On top of that, InStyle even posted an article called “PSA: Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly Are Not the Same Person” in which they point out the way the two actors are different.
