Hollywood is known for the glitz and the glam, however, when it comes to a few A-listers, it appears as if they've been skimping out on some rather necessary parts of the glitz and the glam, and that's the bathing part!

While a nice hot shower should never be taken for granted, a few celebs are taking that notion a little too far. Earlier this month, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis revealed that they don't bathe their children unless they're dirty, all while admitting to only cleaning the important spots daily and nothing else.

Fans immediately began to debate the topic, to bathe or not to bathe, leaving a slew of other big names to step forward admitting that they too, don't bathe all that often! Jake Gyllenhaal was one of 'em, claiming that he doesn't find showering all that necessary. Um, excuse me Jake; but what? Luckily, there were a handful of celebs who sang a different tune, highlighting their hygiene habits!

10 Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal is regarded as one of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs, and rightfully so. Well, it appears as if the allure that is Jake Gyllenhaal has been tainted slightly by his less than stellar thoughts on bathing. Jake was one of the most recent celebs to step forward and reveal that he doesn't think bathing is all that necessary.

This obviously sparks up a lot of questions, including what he considers bathing, and what about it is particularly "less necessary?" The Internet began to create countless memes surrounding the topic, poking fun at a possible connection between Taylor Swift's lyrics, "I deserved better" following her split from Jake, leaving fans to wonder whether she was talking about deserving someone who bathes frequently.

9 Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis

When it comes to "showergate" as it is being called, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were one of the first to share their thoughts on the matter. The duo went on to make it clear that they don't believe in bathing, either.

When it comes to bathing themselves, Ashton revealed that they clean the necessary areas daily, however, other than that, they pay no mind to! As for their kids, the two said that they also don't bathe their children frequently, sharing that they wait until they are dirty. Well, then... Ain't that something else!

8 Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was one of the first celebs to speak out against the heinous (dramatic, right?) comments coming from Ashton, Mila, and Jake. The actor was not about to have anyone questioning his hygiene habits, so he got right to the chase. Dwayne tweeted out his routine, which involves a cold shower upon waking up, a workout followed by a hot shower.

Following his day at work, which can be as long as 12+ hours, Dwayne comes home and takes a warm shower. Johnson also revealed that when he talks about showering, it involves everything from exfoliating, to cleansing and that whole nine yards.

7 Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard couldn't let the Kutcher-Kunis family be the only celeb couple to not see the point in routine bathing. The duo revealed that when it comes to their kids, they usually "wait for the stink" to set in before giving them a bath or shower. Uh, what?

You'd think being such high profile figures that they'd have the best bathrooms with some of the best products, however, they don't care all that much about that stuff. And by stuff, we mean hygiene. After receiving a lot of raised eyebrows from the public, Kristen and Dax later posted a photo of them bathing their kids, poking even more fun at it all.

6 Chris Evans

Chris Evans was yet another celeb who revealed his bathing habits, and luckily for fans, Chris Evans, does, in fact, shower! The actor had first joked about not bathing during a live video chat, claiming that at the start of the pandemic he simply stayed home and never showered, however, he was only joking around.

He quickly clarified making it clear that he very much showers and enjoys 'em too, saying, “That’s not true, I shower all the time. I don’t know why I said that. I’m a very clean person!” Phewf!

5 Cardi B

Cardi B was the most recent celeb to give her $0.02 on the matter, making it clear that she isn't at all part of the #NoBathing team. Cardi is definitely into taking care of her personal hygiene, especially if there are any unfortunate smells involved.

The 'Bodak Yellow' rapper was quick to take to Twitter where he confusingly asked, "Wassup with people saying they don't shower? It's giving itchy," she hilariously wrote, and truer words have never been spoken! Although she didn't lay out her showering routine as 'The Rock' did, her tweet made it clear that she isn't about any of that not bathing life, and we aren't either!

4 Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey is another A-lister who is regarded as a Hollywood heartthrob, however, when it comes to his most recent revelation regarding his stance on showering, fans might not be too happy. The Interstellar actor made it clear that not only is showering not a major priority, but he also hasn't used underarm deodorant in over three decades!

Yes, you read that right! That's 30 years of no deodorant. Fellow actress, Yvette Nicole Brown stepped forward to claim that while the news might be shocking, Matthew doesn't need any deodorant, as she claims he smells like "granola and good living."

3 Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa, who notoriously plays Aquaman, wasted no time when asked about his showering habits to reveal that he practically lives in the water! "I'm Aquaman! I'm in the f*cking water," he hilariously said.

The actor went on to make it clear that he showers often, and with his Hawaiian roots, he revealed that he loves himself some saltwater. "Don’t worry about it. I'm Hawaiian. We got saltwater on me. We good."

2 Terry Crews

Terry Crews was brought into this unwillingly! Following the insane amount of celebs stepping forward, Terry was accused of not showering on social media. This prompted the actor to reveal that his showering habits are doing just fine. Considering he sweats a lot, Crews made it clear that he does, in fact, shower. Not only does he need a good shower at the end of the day, but Terry also said he "loves" showering, and quite honestly, who doesn't?

1 Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz may have taken a step back from the limelight back in 2014 when she appeared in her final film, Annie, before leaving acting for good. Well, during an interview that same year, Cameron Diaz revealed that she isn't a fan of deodorant either! This not only makes her a member of the #NoBathing team, but it seems as if she started the trend!

The actress claims that deodorant actually causes the smell to "stay in", whereas she prefers it to "come out." Ok, Cameron. Whatever you say!
