Not a lot of people like James Corden, and the talk show host's every action has managed to frustrate some section of the internet. Earlier this month, 90,000 people signed a petition to keep him away from the Wicked movie, and Corden hadn't even said anything.

But recently, when the host made a joke about the South Korean boy band BTS and their fan base being a bunch of "15-year-old girls," he found himself on the receiving end of massive hate from them. When the K-pop stars visited Corden on his talk show on November 23, Namjoon, also known as Rap Monster, subtly called out Corden for his comments, and asked him how he was doing after being in "hot water" with ARMYS (the BTS fandom).

Fan Or Hater?

"James, how are you? You have been in some hot water with ARMYS. Are you all right?" asked a smug Namjoon. The studio audience erupted in cheers and laughter, while an embarrassed James Corden hid his face.

Corden quickly updated the rest of the audience, recounting the event. "We did two jokes which I didn't think were in any way offensive to anybody." He continued, "And we said this was where I think it was wrong, we said that your fans were 15-year-old girls."

The host then tried to save face by proving his status as a massive BTS fan. "It of course isn't true because I'm 43 years old and I consider myself one of the biggest BTS fans on planet Earth."

Corden continued to explain that he received death threats because of his comments, which he believed were very "extreme" responses to his "two harmless jokes."

James further defended his comments, revealing that the BTS fandom was his favorite in the world, since they were passionate and a "true force for good" because they had supported charities in the past. Corden didn't "enjoy" making BTS fans feel "upset".

To his response, RM smiled and added, "James it's okay, we appreciate your apology. We just wanted to clear the air." The rapper then extended his hand out to James, and all was well between the two.

BTS fans have had a field day on Twitter, and can hardly believe that the rapper decided to roast James Corden on his own show, and said that the band "appreciates" his apology instead of accepting it.
