Janet Jackson's son Eissa recently celebrated his 3rd birthday. Although he is only a toddler, Eissa is already gravitating towards instrumental music. Janet's son has tried out the violin, and now he wants to take up cello. Music mastery is in his DNA, could Eissa become the next classical prodigy?

Janet Jackson gave birth to Eissa when she was 50 years old. Soon after, she separated from Eissa's father, Wissam Al Mana. However, Janet remains deeply devoted to her son. The pop icon is continuing her music career, and she will be releasing a new album and going on tour later this summer. Nonetheless, Eissa comes first. People magazine reports that Janet does not even have a regular nanny. She explained, "I don’t have a nanny, I do it all myself." Janet Jackson prefers to alter her busy schedule, so that she is able to spend more time with her only child.

Janet keeps her toddler out of the media spotlight. However, she loves telling stories about their life at home.  Although he is only three-years old, Eissa is already showing interest in the family business. In an interview with People, Janet described her daily routine.  She said, "He wakes me up every single morning singing his own melodies." Eissa is not only interested in vocal music, he also wants to try his hand at musical instruments.

Janet Jackson is known for being a pop music icon, but her toddler may be the next classical music prodigy. Classic FM Digital Radio covered Janet's recent interview on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Janet told Fallon about Eissa's first day of school. Eissa enjoys creating music for his mom, but he also wants to share his music with others. She remarked, “He loves classical music. First day of school he took his violin to school." And when he got home, Eissa continued to carry his violin everywhere. But eventually he decided violin was not enough.

After Eissa created melodies on his violin, he made a very specific request. He asked his mom: "Turn my violin into a cello, please mama.” At first Janet though her toddler just wanted to play pretend, so she simply taped a straw to the bottom of the violin. Eissa was thrilled, so perhaps he is truly ready to take on cello.

Janet Jackson is dedicated to her son Eissa. The superstar makes sacrifices so that she can care for her son without the aid of a nanny. Eissa is already showing interest in music. From singing to playing the violin, he is able to compose at a very young age. Perhaps Eissa will be the first in the Jackson line to conquer classical.
