During the film, Hakob was introduced to Benny Medina, J-Lo's agent. Instantly, it is said that things started off on the wrong terms between the two. TMZ writes, "Hakob says Medina hated his guts from the start ... claiming Benny would often rip him for the way he dressed, cussed him out in public and told him "he could not speak English well enough."

TMZ continues, "Hakob claims Medina eventually persuaded Lopez to demote him ... taking away his security responsibilities and relegating him to "merely be Lopez's Los Angeles driver."

Hakob claims he was forced into letting go of his gig with J-Lo because of the agent. However, Medina had a different side of the story, claiming Hakob decided to leave himself after being unhappy in his position.

Jennifer Lopez's Driver Demanded $2.8 Million As A Hush Settlement

The case took a turn when Jennifer Lopez would file a lawsuit of her own, seeking $20 million in damages. According to J-Lo, the driver was looking for a hush type of settlement, seeking $2.8 million. If the terms weren't met, Hakob threatened to release personal information about Lopez.

Today explained Lopez's countersuit, "The former "Idol" judge alleges that an attorney representing Manoukian -- who sued Lopez, her manager Benny Medina and Marc Anthony for breach of contract in April -- demanded a $2.8 million payout, or else he would "disclose sensitive and personal information that he had allegedly overheard" while working for her."

Also in the countersuit, Lopez did admit that problems took place between Medina and the driver, however, she completely denied not giving the driver his full salary.

"First off, Lopez's suite states, Manoukian signed a confidentiality agreement prohibiting him from disclosing anything he heard regarding Lopez's business or her family," Today reports.

"Technically a countersuit to Manoukian's original complaint, Lopez's suit also denies his allegations that she didn't pay him the full salary they agreed upon."

The driver wound up facing an even bigger lawsuit from J-Lo and her team.

Given the $2.8 million demand, and threat to leak information, Lopez would launch a lawsuit of her own, seeking a huge amount of $20 million.

Lopez's lawsuit details state, "For the "irreparable injury" caused her, Lopez is seeking $20 million in actual damages, as well as unspecified exemplary and punitive damages, injunctive relief preventing Manoukian from further harassing her and court costs."

Ultimately, it is said that the lawsuit was completely dismissed by the court, and it doesn't seem as if a resolution came from it for either side. Lopez did switch drivers, as the icon rarely does any driving herself, despite the fact that she does own some top-notch vehicles in her garage.
