Jenny McCarthy has an ear for revealing hidden talents on The Masked Singer. While viewers expected her strategy for guessing who the mystery celebrities are to remain a secret, she surprised them all.

She appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show to dish out all of her methods for asking questions to the singers.

What's Her Method?

Barrymore complimented her code-cracking skills and asked if there's a specific way she goes about asking questions to the masked talents.

"I do have a little bit of one," she revealed, "If I don't feel like I'm getting the story out of the guest or the celebrity, I'll share my own personal experience first. To show them that I'm vulnerable, that I have the same boo-boos."

McCarthy shared back in 2019 with ET that she guesses a lot of the celebrities correctly early on. However, she can't always broadcast her skill for clue decoding, as that would ruin the excitement of the show. She's chosen the wrong name on purpose many times to keep the mystery alive.

In addition to her stellar pop culture knowledge that kept her podcast fresh, this offering of vulnerability adds to her solid contribution as a judge. Is it a bit manipulative? Yes, but she's using her powers for family fun rather than evil.

That knack for reading people spans outside of her role on The Masked Singer. She shared with Barrymore that her life experience also makes her a dating coach within her inner circle.

Dating Advice With Jenny

"My therapist said, 'Jenny you have this amazing ability to bleach red flags white. You don't even realize but you're justifying their bad behavior.'"

McCarthy's therapist then suggested she go on blind dates and start to actively point out red flags. She took that advice to heart and offered it to her friends for their own lives.

Her willingness to share personal dating horror stories instead of a fake anecdote she had prepared days in advance actually put her Masked Singer strategy to use.

Soon after she shared her own embarrassing tale of ignoring a man's downfall after he said, "I hate kids," on a first date, Barrymore joined in on some publicized girl talk.

She gasped and agreed that she tells her own girlfriends the same advice. If there's a deal-breaker on the first date, believe it for what it is. McCarthy really does shine as a peoples' person and turned the interview into a flowing conversation.
