This Dream Job Pays You To Hunt Down Cadbury White Crème Eggs

Calling all chocoholics! An online services marketplace is searching for people to become “professional Cadbury Creme Egg hunters” in the U.K. and yes, you've read that right!

The 'hunters' are encouraged to help find special white Creme Eggs-- part of a promotion offering prizes of up to £10,000. The opportunity comes courtesy of online jobs website Bark which claims the role could pay £45 ($60 USD) an hour, according to Daily Mail.

Cadbury has launched an exclusive batch of white chocolate Creme Eggs and this year, to help those who are really serious about finding a white Creme Egg, Bark is making it easier for a professional egg finder to go and hunt one down.

The job will involve traveling to supermarkets selling the white creme eggs and buying a certain amount of wrapped eggs, opening them, and looking for special white ones. In this year’s white Creme Egg hunt there are 872 prize-winning eggs available, including nine £10k eggs, 22 £1k eggs, 66 £100 eggs, 700 £50 eggs, and 75 £10 eggs.

These eggs will be sold in Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, One Stop shops, and some independent retailers. It will be left up for negotiation between egg hunter and employer which shops are visited.

According to Bark's website, egg hunters will have to provide a photo ID, be subject to a full background check, and be willing to travel to several supermarkets either in their local area or around the U.K. Once you’ve applied, you will be matched up with someone desperate to find a white Creme Egg (but without the time to do so), and you will decide together how many eggs to buy and how many shops to go to. They sit at home, while you go out and egg hunt.

"The McDonald’s Monopoly Player service was a massive hit last year and we think this service could do equally as well," Kai Feller, a co-founder of Bark, told Daily Mail. "This is the second year Cadbury has launched the white chocolate Crème Egg hunt and thousands of people across the U.K. are understandably eager to find a white chocolate Crème Egg and a high-value prize."

She added, "However, some people just don’t have the time to be constantly buying eggs from a selection of supermarkets across the country – and that’s why we’ve launched this service."
