It's official - Joe Biden is one of the sweetest people on God's green earth. Sure, we already knew this, but now we have photo evidence. The former VP of America took his granddaughter to a movie in Georgetown over the weekend, but his good deeds didn't end there. He stopped to talk to a homeless man that sat on the steps outside the theater.

Unaware that he was being photographed - or even recognized - the politician spoke with the gentleman for a few minutes, before giving him some cash and a handwritten note. When passers by realized what was going on, one stopped to take a few incognito snaps. "Joe Biden took his granddaughter to the movies in Georgetown last night," read the caption of the photo uploaded to social media. "On his way out he stopped to speak with a homeless man. A bystander took this candid shot. Character is about what you do when no one is watching."

There has been no word on the event from Biden, and we can only guess what the note said - but we bet it was something inspirational and heart-warming, because that's Biden all over. The original post has been shared on Facebook over 200 thousand times, with many commenting on what a stand-up guy Biden has shown himself to be on numerous occasions.

The touching relationship Biden has with former president Barack Obama hit headlines over the course of their time in office. Obama explained the closeness of their friendship when he surprised Biden with the Medal of Freedom in 2017. He spoke of how their wives "had each other's backs" and their daughters vacationed together. The touching footage of the presentation went viral. After a speech that brought tears to the eyes of even the coldest of heart, Obama invited a military aid on stage to award Biden with the honor. The VP had to turn his back to compose himself and dry his eyes before being decorated.

We didn't need another reason to love you, Joe - but we'll take it.
