During these tough times, we are all coping in different ways. Celebrities are doing their very best to give back, John Krasinski took a unique approach, starting his own YouTube series, ‘Some Good News’. The show was based on all things positive while keeping negativity on the backburner. ‘The Office’ star enjoyed great success with the show and he called it one of the best experiences of his personal career, “The most emotionally fulfilled I've ever felt in my entire life," adding that he would "love to keep doing the show from my office forever."

Fans weren’t all that thrilled when John sold the rights of the show to ViacomCBS. Nonetheless, he still told fans to expect great content, whether he was there or not, "We have a lot of really fun stuff planned and I can't wait to dig in," Krasinski said. Although he's stepping back from the web series, he said, "I'm going to be a part of it whenever I can, and I'm going to host a couple of episodes and bring on a different community of people. We're really, really excited about it."

Given his recent announcement, the show is literally spreading more ‘good news’ with a sizeable donation.

$2 Million Raised

That’s right, Krasinski raised $2 million alongside SGN, a remarkable accomplishment. The SGN Twitter account issued this incredible statement, “WE DID IT! We raised $2M dollars in donations. Thanks to YOUR purchases from the @Sevenly SGN Merch Store, we were able to donate $1M to a variety of SGN's non-profit partners and The @Starbucks Foundation matched our donations, bringing us to a grand total of $2M! #SomeGoodNews.”

Krasinski commented on the insane amount of money raised via Twitter.

John acknowledges the positive impact the show has on everyone, though he revealed, it means just as much to him, “I've received the most amazingly kind notes about how much that show mean to everyone, but the truth is, it meant no more to anyone than me.”

A great story during these times and one that can bring a smile to lots of faces. Kudos to John for such a great initiative.
