Critics were split, with some calling it a must-watch, despite Depp's status at the time.

"And if truth can be swept under the rug in such a high-profile murder, what about killings of people nobody knows?"

Thankfully for Johnny Depp, he didn't have to step into court for the lawsuit, as according to Variety, a notice of the settlement was sent to the judge, avoiding the lawsuit.

The verdict came out in July of 2022, ultimately the terms were not disclosed and the matter was kept confidential. This was a positive result for Depp, who was on the road to fixing his image, following the situation alongside ex-Amber Heard.
