Even grownups who don't have tweens in their lives know who JoJo Siwa is. As her Instagram highlights, she's 'that bow girl,' and plenty of people recognize her face even if they don't know who she is as a singer and dancer.

She had a humble start, but these days, JoJo Siwa is basically a billionaire. She makes a killing on everything from brand-name bows to JoJo merch (including dolls, clothing, and more).

Part of the young star's trademark? Her look!

JoJo Siwa is all about glitter, bright colors, face paint, and yes, her trademark side pony. JoJo's been wearing a high-and-tight ponytail in her blond locks for ages now. Even though she's nearing adulthood, the slicked-back ponytail doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Some fans think JoJo needs to grow up already. But the 17-year-old loves her look, her style, and the whole bubble-gum pop vibe. Admittedly, some of her content (especially collabs with other YouTubers) has been a bit mature for her primary target audience (what 10-year-old should learn to twerk?).

But the buzz around Siwa hasn't slowed, even if she's sometimes stirring up controversy. On the whole, her image is as sweet as can be, and that's the way she wants it.

JoJo loves herself, she says, and she's unapologetic about her personality, her style, and her hairline.

Yes, fans have pointed out that Siwa's signature hairstyle may be giving her trouble. But as she told Today, that really doesn't matter to the star (and TBH, it doesn't matter to her bank account, either).

Of the topic, Siwa said, "There's been a lot of people who have said that they don't like my hairline. But here's the thing, when I look in the mirror, I know that my hairline makes me who I am, it makes me special. It also makes me look like I have a 'five head' (instead of a forehead), but that's OK because it's just little blond hairs up here that you can't see."

Cue the collage that's been circling social media that shows JoJo's hairline appearing to recede over the years. Aesthetic Scalp pointed out that it does appear JoJo is losing hair. These hair loss experts suggest JoJo is dealing with "traction alopecia."

Alopecia essentially means hair loss, and the traction bit refers to her too-tight pony, says Aesthetic Scalp. Her super-tight ponytail could be pulling on those finer "baby" hairs at her hairline, damaging them beyond repair.

The hair surgeon site further elaborates that the hair loss can become permanent, and recommends that Siwa stop wearing her slicked-back style ASAP. However, it doesn't seem like JoJo's on board.

Fans can assume she'll continue to rock that side pony as long as it serves her and her brand, receding hairline be darned.
