He's more than just the district baker! Josh Hutcherson made a name for himself early on in his career, landing roles in hit films such as Bridge To Terabithia, Journey, and of course, The Hunger Games.

During his time playing the role of Peeta Mellark, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, and Liam Hemsworth, the actor developed quite a strong friendship with his co-stars. Although the film did wonders for his career, Josh has gone on to reveal he has some regrets when it comes to The Hunger Games.

Considering the film franchise became one of the biggest across the globe, fans are wondering why Josh Hutcherson isn't in the spotlight nearly as much as he used to be. So, what has the actor been up to? Let's find out!

Where Is Josh Hutcherson Today?

Josh Hutcherson has been in the limelight his entire life! The star first began acting when he was a child star, landing roles in House Blend, American Splendor, and Motocross Kids all before snagging his breakout role in RV where he starred alongside Robin Williams, JoJo, and Cheryl Hines.

It didn't take much time before Josh was the new "up and coming" actor, landing roles in an array of films, including his second hit appearance in Bridge To Teribithia, in which he appeared alongside AnnaSophia Robb.

Hutcherson later appeared in Journey To The Center Of The Earth, which went on to become his biggest role to date, that is until he was cast as Peeta Mellark. Following the four films, Josh was at the height of his career, however, once the final film, Mockingjay 2, was released in 2015, that was sorta the last we saw of Josh.

His time working with Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth were some of the best, however, they are long gone! While Josh may not have appeared in anything groundbreaking since; he's still remained very active in the industry!

In addition to becoming a dog dad to little Driver, Josh took on a new career path when it came to films, and this time, he was taking on a role behind the camera!

Directing, Politics & Photography

As Josh continues to lend his voice to Ultraman, a role he began back in 2019, he is also set to appear in two films, The Long Home, and Across The River & Into The Trees, which are both set to release next year.

While fans might be used to seeing him on-screen, Hutcherson decided to take on a new role, directing and producing! The actor not only appeared in Escobar: Paradise Lost, but he also stood in as the film's producer.

Another example of him taking his career in a new direction came about when he began directing music videos for Foster & The People and West Coast Massive, to name a couple! The star also landed a role in Future Man, which appeared on Hulu and ended after its third season was released.

In addition to his role in the entertainment business, Josh Hutcherson has taken on politics, too! While he is by no means running for anything, he is very open regarding his political views. 

The actor expressed his support for Bernie Sanders during the 2020 presidential election, and has worked very closely with the gay-straight alliance organization, Straight But Not Narrow.
